A+ A solid , clean, VERY CLEAR basic tri-bandโer
โ made in partnership with Baofeng โ โฆitโs basically a rebadged K6 but seems to be more RX sensitive and have much more clear audio on TX and RX . Perhaps there are a few different chips on the board than baofeng normally uses ?? At any rate , itโs as clear as a cell phone . Like surprisingly clear . Typical 2-6 mile range one would expect from a handy talkie of this level ( depending on variables , YMMV ) . Having taken this things temp on a tiny SA hereโs the TL;DR : Avg of 6 watt is a fair overall estimate . Of course it varies by freq and band but 6 is a fair average . Mine was clean enough to be clean - no major spurs or double spurs โฆa couple mild ones but well with in FCC limits . SWR was between 1.01 an 1.04 on the stock antenna . So PASS ! and really quite unremarkable for a value based import ( thatโs good , no complaints) โฆ everything was well with in โacceptable โ parameters . Stock antenna is okay-ish. Not terrible for an import value based unit. I ran into a bit of a software bug where on dual watch when tuned to commercial FM if there was a RX on a monitored freq the Rx light turned green to show RX activity but it wouldnโt allow the incoming RX to be heard on the speaker โฆ Just a slight click would happen and music would keep playing . It could have been me brain farting some how but nothing I tried fixed this โฆ.. So I flashed it . Yes this can be flashed with custom firmware . Just plug it in as a K6 on CHIRP . Oh, also with the stock software โฆ.if you are on commercial radio and click menu and scroll you can change it from commercial broadcast freq (88.-108) to go all the way from 108 mhz down to 64 mhz (Rx only) The battery is identical in dimensions to the K6 which is 2500ma . This says itโs 3000ma. It could have upgraded cells in the same body ? ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ it does last quite a long time . 2500โฆ3000 whichever it is it was more than enough to turn the commercial broadcast on any let it sit and play music for about 36 hrs before conked out . All in all , yeah โฆ.this is a good basic tri-bandโer for a go-bag , glovebox or the simple userโฆ hiking , hunting or whatever . Build quality is very solid for a budget plastic body . Knob is butter smooth and buttons are tactile and clicky with a good quality rubberized keypad . The belt clip is more than adequate and will do its job well. I found no water proof rating in the literature - which BTW is well written in proper English and much more explanatory than most value oriented imports that have machine learning translated manuals from Chinese to English - but this IS basically a rebadged k6 wich is IP54 rated I believe , so I would say itโs gotta be at least very decently splash and raindrop resistant . I wouldnโt go swimming with it tho๐ While there is nothing super duper special feature wise about itโฆ. it is very clear sounding , and just kinda left me saying โ wow , this is a very decent little guy for what it is โ and it just feels good to hold . Itโs like a k6 but somehow a bit more polished . Iโd pick this over a uv-5 any day . And as Iโm writing this itโs $12.49 on discount . Iโm off to pick up a couple more just to have .

Good Price Bad spurious transmission on 2m
Good price. Nice battery capacity. Clean transmission on 70cm and 1.25cm. Bad on 2m. Looks like a Quansheng uv 5r. Power is average for HT 4.6-5.4 watts. Transmits on GMRS though not certified for that frequency.

Impressive VHF and UHF radio!!
This VHF and UHF receiver is truly outstanding! The performance across both bands is simply amazing, providing crystal-clear reception. The audio quality is also fantastic โ rich and easy to listen to. The inclusion of FM, air, and weather bands makes it incredibly versatile and useful. I was particularly impressed with the commercial FM band reception; it went far beyond my expectations! I can consistently pick up weak and distant FM stations that I also tune in on my other, more specialized radios. Highly recommended!

A good everyday GMRS radio to consider for several reasons
This is a great GMRS multi band use radio for the price. It is one of my everyday carry radios that also has NOAA NWS, and FM band that makes it a good one for severe weather season and to take along to my son's baseball game so I can listen to MLB broadcasts on FM and skywarn activities. I can use it with my family for our GMRS activities when out and about. I just wish it also had the military UHF aircraft band for the US. I like that it has a USB C charging port make it more compatible with charging cords. Always have a copy of the manual handy when not programming with software. Worth considering since it is a good XHADATA product.

Junk
Worked after the first complete charge, never worked again. Cheap, but not worth it. Could not be more unhappy. I live 2 miles from the airport and could barely hear the AWOS, and then shut it off, never turned on again and outside of the warranty. Do not buy this, waste of money
