101 Classic Jewish Jokes: Jewish Humor from Groucho Marx to Jerry Seinfeld Paperback – September 30, 1997

I loved this book because the jokes are never off-color, I could enjoy them with my parents as well as with kids.

They are indeed classics --- familiar --- well presented and a pleasure to meet again.

The introduction mentioned that the wording of a joke makes a big difference in its impact. Many of the most popular jokes were here, but I was surprised that they needed editing. Some had punchlines that were followed by unnecessary extra words or a phrases that killed the laugh. Some people can tell them and some can't, so get an editor that can.

Book was fun to read and share.

I read through it the first time and thought it was funny--but after reading it again and again, I laugh even more. Having grown up in New York and worked for and known many Jewish people, I have a mental picture of them saying these very same things. I told my brother I would send it to him when I finished reading it, but I'm keeping it and will probably buy another one for him. Catherine Seitz
