You need a foot switch
It's been forever and I have not gotten my refund. I have paid for 2 of these now I am out over 600 dollars. Amazon used to be good about refundsIt strips wire nicely. It is very strong and fast you can't keep up with long wire. And when you first feed the wire it can and will get caught in the chain damaging the stripping mechanism. You have to be careful and be able to stop fast. A 20 dollar foot switch will keep you from damaging the stripping mechanical drive. B

FAST!
I have ordered hand-crank wire strippers and they did the job well, but you'll turn your shoulder off if you are doing a lot of wire. My friend and I estimated the it could strip about 100ft/min or 12 gauge wire if you needed it to. It is extremely fast and my shoulders are thankful!

lack of consumables
The machine works well. It does the job described efficiently but when the blades become dull it simply does not work. The customer service is terrible, they do not sell the blades and they do not offer information about how to replace the blades. In conclusion it is a disposable machine.

It started smoking and stopped spinning I was afraid it was going to cause a fire.

Awesome
My husband has been using a manual wire stripping machine for years so I decided to order this for his birthday. He loves it! It makes stripping wire so much easier and he gets through it much faster. This is a great quality machine that’s easy to use and really convenient.
