This is a visually stunning watch with a beautiful dial and movement inside an exhibition case-back. It punches far above its specs, registering more than 48 hours of power reserve and daily accuracy of -4/+4 seconds! It’s just the right size and weight for a mechanical and winds easily. The chrono pushers are tactile and responsive. The stiff NATO band is my only complaint, so I was happy to source my own strap with a deployment clasp matching the polished case. This is a watch I hope to wear for many years to come. Absolutely love it!

Awesome! Based on an old Swiss movement from the 1950's that is reliable and robust. There are many 1963's like this one available, some with a swan neck regulator (this one does not have that) some with a 5-post column wheel for the chronometer and some with 7. This one has the 7-post column wheel and has a very positive and good feeling to the pushers for the start/stop and flyback buttons. Some gear wheels do not have jeweled bearings. Over time, the servicing cost will likely be greater than the replacement cost, so do I do not expect this to be anything more than a fun piece until the movement stops working well and then buy a replacement. The case is nicely polished and I opted for the this version because A) It has a sapphire crystal, B) It has the star on the crown, C) It has a single line of text at 6 o'clock (it says "made in china" in Hanzi rather than two (for a cleaner look), D) this one has a slightly more golden hue to the dial face, and E) this one has an exhibition case back. The indices are beautiful, as are the hands. The hands are accurately set, and the flyback feature of the chronograph's second hand returns to perfect zero. The inside of the front sapphire is clean and dust-free as is the movement set inside the exhibition case back. The fit and finish are superb. If this movement were fully jeweled, this would be a lifetime watch. This version of the iconic 1963 came in a black plastic mini-Pelican style case which included a warranty card, authenticity card, brown leather strap (which is not particularly appealing) and an olive green NATO strap. The NATO strap is stiff out of the box, however in just a few days of wearing has softened up but still has firm weave, which I like. If you don't mind using Chinese websites to purchase this, it can be had for around $150 bucks, plus shipping. At this price on Amazon with free shipping for Prime members it was a great deal on a really fun to wear, fantastic looking watch that looks, sounds, and feels far above its price-point.

Really cheap, terrible quality, and can’t keep time. The band keeps falling off which has never happened with a nato strap for me before. At least it looks nice!

Great for the price.

So....This is a good watch, but it is fragile. This is a watch that can be overwound easily and i unfortunately did it with mine. The only reason this rating is so high is because of the craftsmanship and overall wrist appeal it has. This is a beautiful watch and once i get it repaired, it will be back on my wrist.
