NOW Essential Oils, Nutmeg Oil, Energizing Aromatherapy Scent, Steam Distilled, 100% Pure, Vegan, Child Resistant Cap, 1-Ounce

I was skeptical about trying this at first because I haven't talked to anyone before who has. But I tried it and it is amazing. The scent is not overwhelmingly strong! It's not as sweet and nutty as powdered nutmeg because essential oils often do not smell like the herb due to the concentration of compounds. However, I am a fan of the NOW brand. Their products are always good quality and decently priced.Anyway I bought this because I have very achy and swollen joints from broken bones and arthritis. Usually I use ginger essential oil to decrease bone pain which works wonderfully but it never decreased inflammation. So I decided to try nutmeg essential oil for the inflammation, and it does work quite well. I've used it with and without ginger oil in conjunction to see the effects of both ways. Ginger essential oil decreases pain/ache and nutmeg essential oil decreases inflammation (which by itself can also cause minor pain). Both together worked perfect. Note that the oils have to be massaged into the area for at least 5-10 minutes and it does take around 20 minutes for full relief.*Remember you should always use a carrier oil or lotion to dilute essential oils because they can induce hypersensitivity even if you have used the same oil a dozen times before.

This Nutmeg oil had a richer and more pure smell to it, and seemed to be the best quality as compared to several others. I had ordered about 5 different Nutmeg oils from various other Amazon stores and this oil from Pure Formulas was packaged the best and shipped sooner than any of the others. I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to buying more goodies from them in the future. P.S. I am an actual customer, not a "friend" of the business !

Great product, the nutmeg oil is pure and it works well as fragrance for my living room and also as a muscle relaxer.The nutmeg oil over powers cigarette smoke and prevents the smoke from entering my apartment. I put a few drops in a bowl in my living room a few times a week and it works.

Smell soft and nutty not as pungent as I wanted but smell good.

I have all most all of nows essential oils. I collected them fast after smelling them. Potent and pure. Now has amazing products. Fair prices. Try them. You will never buy another brand again!

I live and swear by NOW's products as a crafter and soap maker. Amazing, crisp scents, never had any issues with irritation, no discolorations, no negatives at all. But I will recommend only using their EOs and not fragrances, just read the bottle and it'll let you know, only a few aren't EOs.
