A Writer's Reference

I had a previous edition that was required by my college professor many years ago. I knew that MLA had changed a bit since I wrote papers so I purchased this for my high schoolers. There were major gaps in what teachers were expecting versus what they actually knew. This filled them for us. I love the tabs for quick references too. This has MLA and APA with example papers. It also grammar references, research, sentence style, word choice and so much more!

Needed it for school was just what I needed. Passed the class with flying colors. Shipping was super fast Was great to have my own copy so I can follow along.

I purchased the Plastic Comb Binding Edition. My review is really only about the binding. It is too small for the amount of pages so you have to be very gentle turning the pages or you can tear them out. the binding is very tight. The paper is slightly thin. You can't turn the pages around to the back or front of the book like you can with a normal spiral bound. You can only leave it out flat as the binding is so tight. I removed a few of the pages that were inconsequential hoping it would make a difference but it didn't. I think I'd have to remove a lot and I won't do that as I may need them some day.

I had to buy this for an English class and have been using it ever since. It’s easier than digging through websites and covers a wide array of common writing issues. The punctuation usage section was especially useful. I ended up using it for the rest of my degree program. Highly recommend and is great paired with the Purdue Owl writing resources! A must have for high schoolers, college students, or anyone who does a lot of writing.

if you like to write, and you want to write well..this is the book! Highly recommend! Very complete with all the rules and amazing suggestions that will surely get you to a top script.

I do not recommend purchasing the eBook. There are no page numbers, and it makes it difficult to follow in the class especially when professors only assign page numbers to read

I was really happy and glad I bought this. The MacEwan launchpad loads slowly and is hard to navigate (or find info/pages). This one has multicoloured tabs that would lead you to a certain topic and the index does not only tell you the page number but also tells which tab to look at.

Most of the plastic rings that hold the book together came broken making it difficult to keep all the pages together. But it did come quickly
