The Rubio Monocoat oil is easy to apply and created a beautiful finish. I used this on a project made from cherry wood and I am very pleased with the results. The one drawback is that it is a bit expensive, but I believe it is worth the additional cost.

One small can has done two walnut countertops ( 2 coats!) and two small teak end tables… and there is still half a can left over. It is amazing. Totally shows the gorgeous wood grain and water beads up on it like no other surface I’ve done. It smells good too, like black tea. This is the first time I’ve used this and I can solidly say I will not use anything else on fine furniture or chopping block countertops. It’s not hard to use, either. Just sand to 150 or so, apply water to surface to pop grains, let dry, sand to 180, apply using a squeegee or paddle of some sort, scrub in to the surface using one of their pads or something similar, let dry for up to 15 minutes for “ thirsty” wood like walnut, buff off till dry with a cotton cloth. Takes 3 days to cure with a week to full hardness. If you want to do two coats for more sheen you just lightly sand with a maroon buffer and reapply as before. It’s incredible. Being detailed here as my sole complaint is Rubio does not provide much instruction without digging a bit. Don’t be intimidated. You’ll be a pro in no time.

First time user after watching it being used on YouTube for years. It will not disappoint, easy to apply and maintain. Used it on a walnut coffee table top, so far so good. Will be buying more to use on other projects. A little expensive but well worth cost.

This finish is easy to use, and looks beautiful after application. It definitely brings out the natural wood look very well. But, it's not really that much better than a normal tung or danish oil finish. It cures faster, and has a higher wax content which should make it more waterproof, but it's still the same general type of finish. Given the extreme high cost, I would just lean towards using tung oil and/or poly in the future.

Super easy to mix and apply. The finish is beautiful. Worth every penny!

Easy to use. The product information in the retail stores is Poor! The reason for going to Amazon. Overall the written steps and tips need to be improved. The videos are great; however you still like to refer to written docs with tips and prep work for great results. Technical support can be improved!

I do woodworking for a living. This stain is absolutely amazing 👏 wish I could give 10 stars. Best stain I've found. Leaves the best silky finish

Soy ebanista de toda la vida he trabajado con infinidad de maderas y productos,pero el acabado natural y aspecto que me da este aceite,no lo he conseguido con ninguno,estos aceites que te venden especial para teka y bla,bla,bla, son porquería y agua chirri, soy un fans del aceite Rubio

Es excelente este aceite, es la primera vez que lo ocupo y queda muy bien. El único problema es que el catalizador se acaba primero siguiendo las recomendaciones de 3a1 no te alcanza el catalizador
