Tell swelling and aches to take a hike
I've literally been using these gloves since 2016. After working full time and going to school full time for my degree, I developed very sensitive hands that constantly swell between the knuckles. This is the only thing that helps. I wear these all day at work and I get the extra small because the super tight compression keeps the swelling down. Truly, these gloves stop the extreme ache that my hands would experience. I'm able to get off work and just go about my life as normal. They're not very thick, I do have a little hole in each one but I use them literally for 8 hours a day every single workday day, so I don't feel that it's worth taking a star off for that because I'm putting these gloves literally through the ringer. They're extremely durable. I wash them and keep two pairs at all times that I can rotate while I'm washing. So these gloves can withstand the washer and the dryer. They don't have an odor. They don't particularly help with gripping things because they don't have a grip on them but I don't feel that that's what they're really intended for. These can compress your hands so that you can continue to type without pain or maybe hobbies that you have etc. I tried so many different brands and nothing truly compares to this brand. I don't know what I would do without them lol. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly effective for arthritis relief for thumb joint area UPDATED
When I opened the package of the size small gloves I ordered per the measuring instructions on line I thought, "Oh my......these are much too small". And they were light weight stretchy things that didn't look impressive at all. Putting them on the first time is a bit challenging because they do go on "tight" and it takes some wiggling around to get your fingers in properly. WHY 5 STARS then? Here is why: My arthritic thumb and surrounding area of my right hand had been swollen and painful for several days - and the ache was radiating all the way up my arm to my shoulder. Capsaicin rubbing compounds hadn't helped. When these gloves arrived I pulled on the right glove and wore it for just an hour and a half. WOW, what a difference! They really do help. The swelling went way down, the arm and shoulder no longer hurt and even the thumb joint felt much better. I do not wear the gloves regularly. I now use them when I need them and they do make a big difference. I can wear the right glove (have not needed the left one at all to date) for almost 3 hours before the seams start to make my hand itch. That is more than enough time to help my problem. I recommend these gloves. UPDATE: Two years later: I just purchased the second pair of these gloves. I found that I can turn the left hand glove inside out to give me two gloves for my right hand. It is actually more comfortable to wear the inside out one because the seams do not press into my fingers. I am wearing the glove most of the time now, alternating between the two. After 2 years the one that was not turned inside out began to get holes toward the end of the fingers and along the thumb seam. The remaining one is stretched just enough to provide less compression, but it still helps my hand. However, I thought it was time for an new pair. These still are the greatest help for my poor right hand!

Amazing compression gloves
This is not my first pair of these gloves, I have two black, two grey. So why would I go for a 4/5? Because my most recent one after only wearing four times had all these holes in the right hand! I can’t figure it out! It’s just the right hand, and on both sides. There’s no explainable reason. I keep the gloves safely stored away. Especially because I’m always loosing my things. So the more organized I can remain, the better I am at not loosing it all. So the holes, a mystery and a bit annoying because quality overall with Imak has been outstanding. These are the brand of gloves that my occupational hand therapist suggests I have. I’ve had two different doctors now, and BOTH LIVE and DIE by this brand when it comes to compression gloves. I have OTHER brands, and showed her. I had different copper ones, I PERSONALLY didn’t like them. They’re too thin, but seams are irritating me, but not in the places you’d think. It’s where they cut off on my fingers because it’s just so awkward to have gloves cut off before your first knuckle, and then cut INTO the skin there. So, stopped wearing those ones. I have a pair of Vive that I was loving. But when she had me compare the compression of the Imak to Vive, I was amazed. I THOUGHT I was getting a compression fit on my Vive pair I had. But no, these Imak gloves are more snug around your hands in fingers WITHOUT feeling as though they’re going to cut off the circulation like the copper brand gloves. It compresses your hands in such a snug enough way that you have that feeling of a hug, without it feeling like a bear hug. I mean, they have a stronger compression strength then all the brands I have, BUT the material, the quality, the feel. It doesn’t FEEL that much different. EXECPT for when you have tendonitis like me, having that compression in those important areas all of a sudden, and everywhere ELSE just feel like a NORMAL feeling stretchy glove. THAT’S important. I can just WEAR them and DO my hand exercises of opening and closing my fingers because there’s resistance in JUST that act. But not SO MUCH that you have to FIGHT against it, but where first thing in the morning you’re waking up and there’s that early morning fatigue in your fingers/ hands, and that resistance is JUST what you need to do that stretching in the morning. Would I recommend Imak, I HAVE! I’ve been reaching out to OTHERS I know who have hand issues and letting THEM know that THESE are the gloves to have! That they are BACKED by professionals, and WORTH every penny! I have gone and gotten their wrist mouse pad to rest my wrist on when I’m using my stylist. And need that small support for my elbow or wrist. I really find that they know how to help with the strains of the hands.

Why did I wait so long to buy these!?
I've had hand pain in my dominant hand since I was a teenager. I've been to specialists, worn braces, had cortisone shots, been through physical therapy and massage therapy, and the list goes on. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING ever worked. Two words into writing anything and my hand would be in searing pain that felt like fire. Writing for any length of time and come the next day I couldn't close my group without the pain being so bad I couldn't even hold utensils to eat. The pain has always been awful. I tried changing pens, and spent so much money on therapeutic pens, pencils, and writing accessories meant to "ease the grip" and "stop writing strain" and whatever other marketing nonsense that promised hope and under delivered. Then someone suggested that I treat my hand pain like a diabetic or someone with rheumatoid arthritis would and try compression gloves. I spent days researching the different compression gloves available on Amazon and read all the reviews on all of them before settling on the IMAK compression gloves. I am so glad I purchased these! The first night I wore them to bed, I woke up in the morning and couldn't believe it--it was the first time in almost thirty years that I didn't wake up with my hand swollen and sore and unable to close a fist or move my fingers. I wear these gloves whenever I'm writing and I have not pain, no numbness, no fiery pain or burning tingles. And I haven't woken up with hand pain or swelling since. I purchased the IMAK compression gloves in the same size as I purchase regular winter gloves and they fit perfectly. You can't even feel that your wearing compression gloves, but they are working the same nevertheless. They are lightweight; my hands don't sweat when I"m wearing them. And they're easy to clean. I hand wash them and toss them in the dryer with my delicates, no problem. Do yourself a favor, if you have any hand pain at all, buy these. I wish I had done this years ago!

Pain suppression
These are good compression gloves. I use them to help reduce pain in my very arthritic hands and wrists. The gloves definitely help to reduce pain. I will buy another pair.

Arthritis Relief Big Time! IMAK Compression Arthritis Gloves
This is an update to my review, below. While I continue to love these gloves and wear them every day, they have a fatal flaw! They don't last very long. They are great for helping with arthritis pain. According to the measurements on the side of the box, I should be wearing an XS. However, the XS started falling apart within two days. So I went back to a size S. Still, the gloves do not last more than a few weeks. I take them off when I do anything physical (which is when I could use their help the most). Then I took it more serious and only wore them to sleep in, but still, they tear apart. They develop small holes and tear at the seams and also in the fingers. Since I first discovered these gloves mid-2016, I have ordered 21 pair. I hand wash them and air dry them. But sadly, every few weeks I find myself opening the next box on the shelf so I have a pair that doesn't have holes in them. I still wear them because the pain in my hands is so bad, and the gloves help SO MUCH. But I cannot afford to keep buying them at this rate. My next plan is to start physical therapy with the goal of strengthening my hands so I will be a candidate for surgery. I still think these gloves are amazing, but I wish they would last more than a couple of weeks. Keep this in mind as you read my initial review. These gloves are fantastic! I have HORRIBLE osteoarthritis in my hands. The pain is too much. So I started using Traumeel as hand lotion and I started wearing these gloves. The pain is GONE!!! I can even go a few days without wearing the gloves. I want to order a second or third pair, but I am unable to make up my mind about size. (According to the label that came with my first pair, I should order XS. But I am worried they will be too tight. The S seem to be getting the job done.) If you are suffering with arthritis in your hands, I highly recommend you get these gloves. They are thin enough that you can wear them as you go about your business. They are like a tight second skin. I can't imagine not having them now. I forget I have them on, they are that comfortable.

Arthritis gloves a surprise fix for my hand problems
I happened to see these when I was looking for something else and decided to try a pair. They have been wonderfully helpful for my hands, so much so that I have stopped wearing my hand brace. I wear them to bed and then I do not wear them during the day. My neurologist had prescribed the brace a number of years ago for my arthritis and I had been using the brace for many years. The gloves are so much more effective, more comfortable and even allow my hands much more freedom. I found the gloves to be a bit tight when I first started to wear them but with a bit of breaking in and perhaps my hands less swollen they loosened up just enough to become very comfortable. There may have been a bit of getting used to them as well. If they do not suit you when you first get them wear them for a few days and they should become comfortable right away. It only took me a couple of days. They have maintained what I consider the maximum in comfort and compression. As of 2-25-15, I must sadly report that one of the gloves has a seam coming unstitched. I will not take away a star for that as it may be rare. I am going to purchase another pair so I can trade off. As of 3-13-15 I now have a second pair so I am able to switch off and wash a pair while using the other. The first pair got a bit too loose but washing made them fit like new. I saw some questions about how the gloves fit and I would like to make some comments. The gloves will vary a bit in size and hands and fingers come in infinite sizes; large, small, slender, substantial. That said, it would be impossible to tell someone how the gloves fit as they will be different for each person. Another thing, it is easy to find the correct glove for each hand by locating the seam which will be on the side opposite the thumb. If you are trying to put them on in the dark it is easy to locate the seam as the tag is sewn into it.

Abysmal poo
Like a tight t-shirt on my hands, doesn't support wrist movement or squeeze enough to produce the circulation it claims. After two movements the glove loosens. And when I claim its a T-shirt. Yeah its material is like a blend poly shirt. Except I've had poly shirts of better quality. My hands are bigger than 3 inches so I sized down so that the medium would get the nice support it needed. But like I said after 2 clicks of my mouse and a couple seconds the gloves loosen and don't retain the squeeze or the support in the wrist. Now these are but very expensive fingerless gloves. I would stay away from this purchase like a bee at the outdoor bbq. Don't do it fam. These are so thin and not in the good way.

Very helpful for RA patients
This is a must for people suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis.Really helps reduce the pain and swelling in fingers. Will help you do many basic activities like holding spoon, combing hair and trust me won't let your fingers swell unless you are experiencing a bad flare. The delivery was much delayed than the promised arrival date and i had no clue where my package was. I made a mistake presuming that i would receive two pair of gloves but what they mean is a single pair of gloves meant for each hand. Please keep that in mind before ordering. They are expensive but definitely worth a buy.

fcosaltares
