Love this series.
I’ve read this series several times and I love it so much. This story is about Gillian being hired to clean up Drew Black’s image. We also get a romance between Audrey and Brett. Loved getting all points of view including the crazy person that’s threatening them. Glad we get a happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.

Great characters
Back in Black is filled with hot fighters, strong-willed women, romance and quite a bit of action.Back in Black was like time-travel for me, as I have read all Foster’s Ultimate stories, and the SBC Fighters series include some characters that show up there as well. Gillian and Drew were both great characters, and I loved the chemistry between them. However, there was another couple that started their romance as well, Brett and Audrey, and the fact that I had to follow two couples instead of just one made me feel like I didn’t really get fully invested in either of them. Don’t take me wrong – all four characters were great, and I enjoyed their interactions as well as the way they evolved throughout the story. There was a lot of tension in Back in Black, both because Drew, the president and face of the SBC was told he needed to reign in his antics and got Gillian as a publicist and sitter. Also because a group of women were protesting very loudly against the SBC because they found MMA to be a far too violent sport, and that it should be banned. Of course, part of the intrigue was that Audrey was the founder of that group, but she didn’t know Brett was one of the fighters when they first met.The story is quite fast paced, and there is a bit of mystery mixed in with the romance and the hotness. Of course, the writing is really good, and the flow of the story was great. And as always, Foster knows how to make the sexy scenes, well, sexy. Written in third person past tense, I got drawn into the story from the start, and I really enjoyed the ride.

A fun and endearing read
SBC head man Drew Black is rough-edged and foul-mouthed. Gillian Noode, a PR professional, gets the unenviable job of smoothing the edges and de-fouling the mouth. Drew thinks the lady is hot but isn't sold on her interference with his mode of operation. Gillian thinks Drew is hot and much too full of himself. It's a good setup, and Lori Foster handles it well. This book also features a secondary romance between SBC fighter Brett Bullman and anti-violence activist Audrey Porter. Their coming together is much sweeter than Drew's and Gillian's, but it fits their respective personalities. Toss bomb threats, a vindictive woman and a characteristically intrusive media into the mix, and you get a fast-paced story that satisfies. This book felt like two novellas woven into one storyline. Like most novellas, the inner thoughts of the romantic partners weren't as fully explored as in a usual full-length novel. However, especially in Drew's case, that felt realistic. His personality isn't one given to deep introspection and angst. He sees, he wants, he moves in to get. All four romantic leads were open to romance and didn't have a lot of baggage to get through to feel and accept love. I found the book to be a fast and entertaining read. I liked all of the main characters (except, of course, the villian), and I felt the storyline moved the action as well as the romance forward quite deftly. Well worth my time and money; this one will make it to my reread shelf. I am a major fan of Lori Foster's writing, and this book holds its own.The only down side is the rough language, primarily from Drew. I'm not a fan of that kind of language, and it did make me flinch a few times. However, having been around people with a penchant for rough language, I can honestly say that Foster's portrayal of Drew was right in line with what I've seen, and there was no effort to glamorize it or overuse it. It did not interfere with my ability to enjoy the story.

Excellent!!
I just finished reading this again and am reminded of why Lori Foster is one of my very favorite authors! I love that her heroes are not only strong, but good guys that are compassionate, even though Drew tries to pretend that he's not. Her heroines are strong, too, which is great since so many books that I've read had weak and whiny ones. Gillian is strong and smart, but also a classy lady. This book also has Brett and Audrey's romance. Brett is one of the fighters in the SBC, and is such a sweetheart. He sees Audrey and feels a spark, but there's a barrier to get past.I would recommend this book if you like romance that has relatable characters, plenty of heat, and even some suspense!

Fight Hard, Play Hard
Sometimes listening to others causes us to prejudge. If you don’t know someone rather than assume, get to know them. A whole new world will open up!

Overall great read
Loved the primary romance. Thought the secondary one was ok, cute, but not as much spark or fun. Loved the dual/dual points of view. Enjoyed their friends involvement. It's so much better when other people are looking bewildered (or bemused) from the outside. Loved out smart, successful mature heroine!

Love this book, really good series. Alpha men but strong women. Because it's a series we also get glimpses of other character's from the other books. Great author.

Quite nice
I quite enjoyed this book and funny enough I actually liked Brett and Audrey's story better than Drew and Gillian's. The characters are believable with human flaws and pasts that get in the way of their happiness. But of course it all works out in the end :)I have never read any of Lori Fosters' books before, but I was pleasantly surprised.
