Runs Linux flawlessly and a great value for the money
This review is for the Prestige 14 EVO and is different from other reviews in that it focuses on Linux. I did start up the computer under Windows 11 Pro to make sure everything was working, but very quickly then began an install of Endeavour Linux (an Arch derivative). Installation went smoothly and took under 15 minutes, and the computer booted in Linux at once. Everything except the fingerprint reader worked straight out of the box and worked perfectly. Some online research led to getting the fingerprint reader working, eliminating the loud fan noise other complain of when using Windows, reducing the hot running to a more or less normal level wherein it feels just a bit warm to the touch under heavy load. While I can't speak to battery life under Windows, it is quite good under Linux and depending on workload approaches 10 hours (less under heavy load with lots of graphics use but still good). In short, this computer seems to do better with Linux than it does with Windows. Pros: 1. Sharp and vibrant display. 2. Fast SSD (I have the 1TB model). 3. Fast (enough) processors for nearly all work including large compiles and the like. 4. A truly excellent keyboard; key travel is shallow but the spacing isn't the least cramped. 5. Very good battery life. 6. Lots of memory (32GB on this one). 7. Super value for the money. 8. If you're really into tinkering, the advanced BIOS menu allows you to go to town if you know what you're doing. Cons: 1. Not the most rugged construction. 2. A little heavier than you might expect (but still quite portable). 3. Display is only 1920x1080, which would limit some creative work applications. 4. Charging block is enormous and on the heavy side. Overall this is a real deal for the price and certainly rates five stars.

Regret buying this Laptop. It has serious performance flaws
I purchased the MSI Prestige A16 AI+ (2024) 16” QHD+ Business Laptop in February 2025, expecting a reliable, high-performance laptop. On paper, the specs were impressive, but unfortunately, the real-world experience has been extremely disappointing. After the 1st month of use, the laptop has been shutting down continuously if left idle for around 10 minutes. Instead of locking the screen and keeping applications running, it completely powers off, resulting in the loss of any unsaved work. Usually within 15 minutes of use, it abruptly closes all applications, causing me to lose any (unsaved) work. The same issue occurs when I try to put it in sleep mode, it just shuts down completely instead of entering sleep mode. Additionally, the trackpad doesn’t work at all, forcing me to use an external mouse. To make things worse, the screen frequently starts blinking after trying to restore the PC from the so called "sleep mode". The only way to fix it is to close and reopen the lid. Don't know why, but that seems to solve the issue. This has certainly contributed to further frustration on the use of this so called "Business Laptop". Honestly, my old HP laptop, despite being much slower, was by far more RELIABLE. While this MSI Prestige A16 AI+ might offer speed and newer features, the continuous technical issues have led me to seriously reconsider ever purchasing this brand again. These flaws have had a significant negative impact on my productivity, and I am now actively looking into more reliable brands with comparable or better features. It has been a frustrating experience and a very disappointing purchase. I expected at least the same level of performance and reliability as other well-known brands. I strongly advise others to carefully evaluate the reliability and performance track record of other brands before considering this laptop.

Fast processor only 1 USB port
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This laptop seemed to have the best processor and a good amount of memory. Only downside that I didn't pay attention to was that it only has 1 USB port. Otherwise, it fires up quickly.

Not a great for Linux users
This laptop has some serious iGPU problems working on Linux, the bluetooth provided by qualcom chip is unusable. I primary bought this for work and run ArchLinux, however it has screen glitches and sometimes amdgpu driver crash. On Windows, it will crash too after performing windows update. Maybe if AMD provides the software fixes for it's iGPU, the laptop will be perfect.

Wife is happy
Pretty impressive benchmarks. Minus one star for shipping the product in need of bios updates complicated by driver compatibility issues with certain BIOS versions. Had strange display issues until BIOS was updated.
