Will these shatter if you put ice in it and then your coffee or vice versa?

No they won’t. They are made from borosilicate which can be heated and cooled without problems. Just be careful when dropping the ice into an empty glass. Some dispensers shoot the ice out violently.

The glass is approximately 4 inches at its widest section and 3 inches in height.

do the glasses stack nesting one on top of the other?

You can stack about two glasses but these are not designed to stack more then two on top of the other as there is no defined ridge to position each glass in the other.

Does the 10oz hold precisely 10oz? or is there a bit of leeway?

The volume is 10oz right to the top of the glass, but because these are hand made there is about +/- 0.5oz tolerance.
