BakBlade 3.0 Stealth Back Shaver for Men Long Handle Edition With Dual-Grip

I have a love hate relationship with this thing! It saves me the shame of having another human shave my back. It reaches every area, is sharp, effective, and easy to clear the hair out of. But it’s disorienting af to get all areas while contorting like a Romanian floor gymnast, semi-naked in your bathroom! Every time I’ve used it I’ve had to take an over the shoulder kaleidoscopic mirror selfie to check for coverage, and there’s always patches missed. I always get there in the end, but inevitably decapitate a persistent skin tag and have to wear a plaster for a few days. Getting that on is even harder. The product itself seems expensive, but it is worth the money. The quality is good, the blades are sharp and well protected, the pivot is really helpful, and you’re essentially paying for the ability to self-help. That’s huge. The back scratcher pad thingy seems a bit pointless, but the wee cleaning brush inside is good, and the covers for the blades help. I don’t recommend using it on the tops of your shoulders as the bumpiness mixed with the wide blades usually leads to cuts. Overall, a great thing to have, a monthly dry shave ritual that works, but I never look forward to, and for me, a bloody mess with that masochistic skin tag.

This is probably the best item I have purchased online. Does exactly as described and a little expensive with the extra blades that need replacing every five uses. If you’re a silverback gorilla like me, you will not be disappointed. Forget wax and creams, this is the final answer to a fresh-feeling back. I found it is best used dry and it makes a great back scratcher when in operation.

Good product if you're a single and want to remove back hair. This helps and leaves back clean and smooth. Blades are pricey but yet to see how often I need to replace. As I didn't try the other model bakblade 2, i can't comment if the higher price of BB3 is worth it.

I honestly didn’t expect this to give a particularly close shave, but I’ve been really impressed. It’s incredibly simple to use and the results are far better than I anticipated. It gives a surprisingly close, smooth shave with very little effort, even in awkward areas that are usually difficult to reach. The handle design makes it easy to manoeuvre, and it feels much quicker and safer than trying to use a normal razor for back shaving. The blades seem sharp without causing irritation, and the whole thing feels well thought out. Overall, amazing results for such a simple product — definitely one of those items that works much better than you expect it to.

First thing: the box is very premium, very posh. I only really noticed when I went to throw it away. Sadly, the box is more premium than the razor inside it. If they’d put as much effort into the product as they did into the box, they’d be on to a winner. The product itself does work. I’d already trimmed the long back hair down to a shorter length first, so I was just going over my back with it. It certainly seems to work and better than a cheaper alternative that I've used previously that uses 'standard' razor blades. I can also see why some people are getting a big red rash on their back. I used it dry, and if you go over the same area several times without any shaving foam you will start to get a rash in places. You need a good enough technique that you only go over each area once. Maybe that will come with time. My main problem is the price. It’s £60, and that’s the sale price, and for £60 the product just isn’t that great. You get one set of heads on the razor and one spare set. That’s fine, but I’d certainly expect more for £60. The blades are individually changeable and each one comes with its own little plastic cover, which is a bit pointless. It might help when you’re fitting them, but if you use the razor wet and then put those covers back on, I’m pretty sure the blades would go rusty. That may or may not be why some people are reporting rusty blades. It would be much better to have one cover over the entire head, like a normal razor has. That would protect the blades and stop you cutting yourself, whilst still letting them dry. There’s also no point in changing each blade individually. The whole head should change, with all 3 blades. I don’t know if it’s to make the replacement blades look like a better deal than they are because they’re listed individually, but you need to divide that number by 3. It’s also just more of a pain in the bum to change each blade one at a time. I can’t imagine many people testing the sharpness of each blade and thinking, "I need to change this one, but not that one". Just weird. While they’re at it, they could take a leaf out of the Wilkinson Sword Hydro’s book and put some gel in a one-piece head. That would make dry shaving a lot easier and would gel up your back for you. Going back to the cover, instead they include a removable back brush on the other side and it seems like a gimmick. I appreciate it might be for putting gel or shaving foam on your back, but I can’t imagine that being easy to do with that brush. They should have just included a cover and dropped the idea of a brush. As for the handle, I prefer the extra length when it's extended. For taller people that’s a bonus. But there’s absolutely no reason for the handle to extend in the first place. They should have just made it longer. If you don’t need the extra length you hold it further up, and if you do, you hold it further down. Making it extend just adds another point of failure, and when it’s extended it’s a lot more flimsy. It doesn’t feel like a premium product at all. No idea what they were thinking with this solution. So overall, it works. It can cause a rash if you go over the same place too often, which might improve with time or if you use gel or foam. But for £60 it needed a much better quality handle, possibly a fully rust-resistant metal like aluminium or a good stainless steel. It’s not a complete letdown because it does work, assuming the handle never breaks. I do question some of the design decisions.

I'm very pleased with this,it seemed a little pricey,and my first impression was a little negative,it's just basically the size and shape of a shower head,all plastic But after using it I'm very happy with the results,my extremely hairy back is super smooth,the blades are extremely sharp but it glides In a way that causes no nicks or cuts,it gives a very close shave to the point of no kme would be able to tell it's been shaved,so although quite expensive for what you get,the results make it worth the money,you won't go back to having back waxing once you use this

Blades rusted after one use. Very poor quality

I was very skeptical about this at first, but after using it for the first time, it worked very well. Much better than expected. No irritation on skin and smooth shave. Very good quality, the different angles and blades worked a treat.

The back side doubles as a back scrubber, soup it up and you’re lather the back good. Shaving cream too, will not be disappointed. I’m not flexible at all and I’m able to get my whole back
