Good first WH40K Book
This was my first ever Warhammer 40K novel. I was very impressed with the authors characterizations and his ability to narrate great action sequences. I will definitely read more from this author. The plot of the story was gripping enough that I found myself reading more than I would normally during a reading session. It was hard to put down. Furthermore all of the characters were interesting. Something I really like in a good book is how the secondary and tertiary characters are well written. I wanted to know how each of them would end up in the story, and the author didn't disappoint.A good story with plenty of background information for new readers in the WH40K universe.

A truly phenomenal tale.
Haley really knocks it out of the park with this story. The tyranids and the blood angels were incredibly well done and the pacing was superbly written. Haley never disappointed me and so I look forward to his next story. I hope you end up enjoying this book as much as I do.

Solid read!
It fills in more of what happened right before and right after Bobby G's return from big nap time. Definitely a solid battle scene. Took a little time to get to the meat of the story, about 25-30% of the book is them catching up on heroes of the Sanguinius line, and the set up. I like the Tyrranid point of view, it kinda gives you an idea of what they are really like, not just dummy space bugs that go chop. Overall, worth the read!

Angels of Blood
Guy Haley's depiction of the Blood Angels was nothing short of Magnificent. I will definitely be reading this one again soon.

Read it to get an insight of how the change from Space Marines to Primaris is justified in-universe
Joke aside it was a joyous reading. The story is compelling and engaging and there is a lot of action going on.Spoilers ahead...........The majority of the Blood Angels space marines chapters are annihilated by Leviathan at Baal while Mephiston is otherwise engaged (conveniently). Just before all seems to be lost, the battle tide changes and the Imperium prevails. In the end Robute shows up with the promise to help the chapters replenish their ranks with his new and improved breed of warriors. Some of the surviving chapter masters don't seem to like it even though Dante seems to be content with the idea. The implications of these feelings are probably being be explored in follow up titles.

The End of the Blood?
A very solid read. Dante leads the Blood Angels and as many of their successors as possible to save the homeworld of Baal. This is firmly set in the "modern" WH40k, as we get a visit in the end by the VIP of VIP's.It's a battle against the Tyrannids for the fate of Baal and the Blood Angels. There is a twist in the story, and a lesson is not learned about following plans. There is some really nice moments at the end about change. If you prefer heavy, heavy fights, you might be disappointed, but not being a huge Blood Angel fan I still fan this to be quite good.A sizable book at a reasonable price. I think you have to pick it up if you want to follow the meta storyline.

The Fall and Rise of the Blood Angels
One of the best of them all. There is nothing this novel does not have for the WH40K fans. Baal on the very edge of falling to their dreaded enemies. Not just the Tryanids but the possible resurgence of a daemon that was their greatest weakness. Thousands upon thousands fall in Baal's last stand. Planets lost as whole Chapters die fighting for just a little more time. Then for them in their final hour, as Dante is struck a mortal blow to see once more on their gene fathers brother walk among them? Like I said it had so much that I felt exhausted at end. Only to want more.

Awesome story!
Great book! As with many 40K stories, this is as much a horror novel as it is action. Mephiston's visions through the warp are very unsettling as is the idea that the Great Devourer is more than just focused on it's own goals. It does comprehend and pursue personal vengeance. Revenge is a concept it is capable of.
