THIS IS NOT WOOL! DO NOT BUY! I just spent 2 hours working with it trying to get it to wet felt. It doesn’t felt. I’m exhausted and frustrated and incredibly disappointed. I needed this to complete some projects for an upcoming craft fair. This is cheap synthetic material of some sort.

This is a nice sample size of the batting. I expect it will be available in blanket sizes. This small piece is long, but narrow and similar to the remnants I keep after squaring up a quilt. I use those for mug rugs, coasters, and smaller projects. This is a decent thickness but not as thick as some of the pics imply. One photo shows it appearing nearly 1/2" thick. It's not. It does arrive compressed so it was a bit wrinkly rather than nicely rolled or folded. Fortunately it's fairly even, no sections are sparser or thinner than others. Decent overall for small projects. I'd be curious to see the consistency in a larger piece, but this sample was fairly good for my test coaster.

but odd that it's so narrow, Doesn't work so well putting pices of it side by side to make a wider item.

Wonderful and soft and size I ordered is plenty big for many things.

This material is not for felting. It’s just a sheet of thin wool, did not find any use for it

I have been wanting to try a trapunto embroidery design for some time now. I used this high loft batting to make a sample coaster (6"x6") to see if I'd like the results. Trapunto is a quilting technique, also known as "stuffed work," that creates a raised, three-dimensional effect by adding extra stuffing or batting to specific areas of a quilt. I machine embroidered the coaster and LOVE the results! The hearts are nice and puffy. I used a thin cotton batting under the complete design and added this thicker wool batting to the center. I would love to make a pillow or quilt one day using this technique. I highly recommend this batting when using a trapunto design for great loft and results.
