These are not wide enough to fit the depth of picnic tables. I was excited to find these for our outdoor celebration, and it was so disappointing to get there the morning of our party and find that there was no way to secure the table cloths on a windy day.

While I realize that most people may be using these for an outdoor table, I bought these with the intention of using them both on our outdoor table and our dining room table, in order to keep the tablecloth in place. When you have kids, you too will know this is often necessary. These turned out to be a failure on both tables and would only work on a picnic table that is 100% flat on the bottom. These metal clips are not sturdy at all... I actually ended up with a better solution for both tables by buying a clearance . 99 cent plastic tablecloth from Walmart that included 4 plastic clips.

great clips. been wanting some for awhile. will be getting more for friends. thanks. the clips are very strong and sturdy yet flexible enough for anyone to use them. they fit camp ground picnic tables as well as the thin coffee table at the house. good item. highly recommend.

Great bang for your buck. I purchased these for my work when we have outdoor events or parties and they were so easy to use that I purchased them for my apt, particularly my patio table. Even though the table is typically up against a wall the wind kept managing to blow the tablecloth. The table is oblong and I used 5 clips. My patio is covered, but these have not rusted or tarnished in any way it has been quite humid out. I also used these on an indoor table that my cats are constantly running across and they worked perfectly. I had to stretch the clips quite a bit due to the thick wood table and they have been holding up fine.

These are standard clips for a picnic table and bench covers. The only thing is that for some of the older wooden picnic table, the clips aren't wide enough. The stick out a bit on the underside of the table so they become easy to knock off. However, the clips are better than the rocks we used to use to hold the table cover down. The individual clips did not hold well on a one-inch thick tabletop in a light wind. I bought the clips rated for .65 -1.5 inches so they should have worked. I modified the clips by forcing one inside the other. You can do it by opening one clip a couple of inches and pushing it down on top of another clip. This doubles the springiness and now holds my table cloth ok.

Bought last season- these clips stayed on the table through a New England winter, minimal signs of wear, stayed on the table (mine is a wooden made of 2x4's) and the table cloth stayed in place perfectly. They are flexible, so I would think they can accommodate tables of different depths. There is no foam or grip added, just a simple metal clip that works..
