Honest and interesting
This book sheds a lot of light on a sports league and culture that most people have a misconception about. If you even know who Sean Avery is then you're probably coming into this as a person who doesn't like him based on how he played the game of hockey in the NHL. If you read this book and pay attention you'll come to realize as I have that this man is an above average thinker and a way better person than you'd think based on his career and a way better person than 90% of the pro athletes in the world. I enjoyed reading about his playing career and I sincerely hope he writes another book after the next 20years of accomplishments.

I enjoyed it immensely and was over too soon
I think the most honest and entertaining book about hockey I have ever read. Avery is a real character, bigger than life, I enjoyed it immensely and was over too soon. I hope he has a good life from here on out.Take care and God Bless

Didnβt want to like him but I do.
Liked this guy as a kid with the Wings. Then thought he was a clown watching him bounce round the NHL. However when I watched the Barstool Spittin Chiclets doc on YouTube I found myself liking him. Got the audio & hardcopy of this book & love it. He tells it like it is & if you donβt like it tough. Respect that. ππππ

A great read that moves the story along quickly.
When I ordered this book, I was unsure about it as I was never really a fan of Sean Avery and this is due to being a Flyers fan. On the advice of others I bought the book and was glad I did.It was a great read that kept wanting you to find out what the next story was about. Sean Avery's off the ice stories definitely have me a better understanding of why he was the hockey star he was.I would recommend this to anyone over 18 as the language at times is adult in nature but I think this makes his account more authentic.

Narcissistic but entertaining.
Sean Avery is a vapid, shallow, narcissistic man with delusions of grandeur but that's his appeal. The book is entertaining if you're a hockey fan. There are some pretty cool stories locker-room stories.

Not Your Average Pro Athlete
Avery is definitely one different cat. Love him or hate him, he is one polarizing character. But he's no dummy. He made the transition from pro athlete to the afterlife very smoothly. And it would seem he's at peace with that. Light material but a good easy read.
