FYI- I'm female and 5'4" (for assembly and desk height reference)Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, I've been working remote from home since March 2020 - my work is done all virtually and on the computer - and I'm tired of sitting all day! I received my Winsome Archie Home Office (standing desk) yesterday and couldn't wait to put it together. It took me less than half an hour to unpackage and put it fully together, and today I'm working at my standing station. It may take others 45-60 minutes, depending on your DIY prowess.I read many reviews before purchasing and was skeptical, but the value and the measurements were just what I was looking for, so I took the chance. The finish matches the furniture in my living room which is a mix of walnut and a somewhat dark red oak. In putting the desk together, I did notice some minor blemishes (that may be of the wood/grain and not the finish itself), but nothing that is noticeable after put together. And after using it for a couple hours already this morning, I LOVE IT. The extension functions well but is a little clumsy until you realize specifically how to use it. I'm considering getting a couple of small soft felt rounds to put on the under side of the edge of the primary desk to prevent wear on the extension over time. Now all I need is an anti-fatigue floor mat for my feet and back!The height seems to be perfect for me barefoot or with tennis shoes on.I'm a DIY person and my mom was a carpenter, so I want to leave a note for the novices: Note that you won't be able to use a drill/driver unless you have a narrow bit extension. I was able to tighten all the screws by hand with some effort. I recommend that you do NOT use a drill on this piece. If you do, be VERY careful of the speed as the wood needs time to respond when fastening without a pilot hole (it's not predrilled for the small arm attachments but it is not a problem!)... if you go too fast, the wood could crack. If you go too deep, the wood could crack. Fasten the screws until the arm pulls itself to align flush with the leg, and then finish with a light hand tightening. Don't force it. Also, squeaks are perfectly normal when driving screws into wood without a pilot hole.My sturdiness rating is based on having wood floors, a clumsy black Labrador, and children. The piece actually feels very sturdy working from it. However, since this is a taller piece, I believe it is more likely to tip than other furniture in my home. If you are concerned with that, it comes with wall anchors to install to prevent tipping.Overall, for the function, the value, the beauty... this was one of my favorite finds! I love this piece!

Pretty nice piece of furniture for the price. I was a little concerned when I received it because the package looked a little beat up, but things were protected enough to properly protect the contents. It was really easy to assemble. It included a wrench but you'll also need a Phillips head screwdriver. The only critique I have is the pilot holes for the wood screws on the leg cross members weren't exactly precise. But in the end it all tightened up well and was very sturdy. I would recommend it again, its a good value for the price.

This beautiful desk is perfect for me in every way. Visually it is beautiful; height wise perfect for comfortable standing. The extra pull out makes a really nice writing area, or breakfast bowl area. Plenty of room for laptop, mouse pad, and coffee cup, with room to spare. Nice storage for all office needs.It was quick and easy to put together by myself.Truly delighted with this desk; it looks beautiful in our home.

Nice piece with good quality. easy to put together and seems very sturdy, not like some chipboard self-assembly furniture. Fits a laptop and mouse pad on top easily, with a soundbar behind the laptop. I use the pull out piece for writing notes, etc, although it seems perfect size for a keyboard.

This little desk fit perfectly in my teenage sons bedroom. He has a little space by a window that wasn’t being used because of the small size and this desk fit in there perfectly. It’s a high desk, which we didn’t realize but it works perfectly with a bar height stool or chair.Looks nice too.

Desk had a huge chip taken out of the side that was subsequently blacked out with a sharpie. Received a replacement part from the manufacturer that was in even worse condition. Tolerances between parts seem to be an issue as well with some parts not assembling tight and flush.Do not buy.

Looks good and I enjoy having a standing desk in the kitchen for planning, etc.
