Hooked on Phonics has been around a long time. Like anything, you get out of it what you put into it.My daughter spends some time every day with this. If one spends a small amount of time each day at an early age, they will become proficient readers as they grow. It's all in the presentation and making it fun.Of course as grandparents we see the light and encourage regular efforts. As they say practice makes permanent. Was I an avid reader ? in grade school yes, in HS not so much.

This is a great book to teach your children pencil control and problem solving. I used them for my 7-year-old twin boys. It was super fun for them and really helped them a lot! It's easy to join your kids in these exercises!Big Rudy
