Women's, Avalon Slip-On

I love Toms and these are so comfortable BUT the thread holdin the logo to the heel unraveled and is hanging off and I've only gently worn them for 2 months. I have an old pair of TOMS avalon that I bought at the store last year, and they haven't torn at all. I'm suspicious if these are actual TOMS because this is unheard of. It's now August and I just ordered another pair of TOMS from THEIR online store, at least I know they're real TOMS. I'll be a fool to re-order from these people.

These are really cute but there is a small issue with the sizing. For reference, I've owned two pairs of the original Toms in the past and I wear a size 9. These seem to run a bit smaller or they're cut on a very different last (shoe mold.) I ordered a size 9 initially and I could barely get them on. Hence, I exchanged them for a 10...the 10's were HUGE! So I figured I must be a 9.5. However, the 9.5's are still loose in the back and I need to wear a blister strip on my heel to prevent rubbing. They're very comfortable aside from that, but the sizing is very strange.

I bought a pair of alpargata espadrille style TOMS shoes last summer and loved them. I had never tried toms before and got them at Ross for 19.99 so why not? They were so comfy and could walk literally miles in them with no socks and my feet felt great. I have a 1 year old and pregnant again so looking for the perfect pair of mom shoes that I could wear year round and thought these would be it! Sadly these have a very squeaky sole and not nearly as comfortable as the alpargata. The ankle is super rigid and feels like it will start rubbing. The sole is also less cushioned. I can’t believe I spent almost 50 bucks on a pair I like much less than the pair I currently own. To make matters worse, ShoeMall charges 7 bucks to return them! I’m very disappointed overall!

I got these to wear at work during the summer. My job has me on my feet for 8+ hours and a mile walk there and back. It also has me lifting and carrying objects (5-50lbs) around and up and down stairs. I was really hoping these would be comfortable out of the box. They are not. I had missing skin on my heels and toes from the material being stiff. They are nice and sturdy compared to other TOMS I've owned but at the price of comfort. I wasn't expecting too much support so that's not surprising. I usually use inserts anyway. I've begrudgingly worn socks with them twice now and they seem to be softening up now. I'm usually a size 6 in shoes and these fit true to size.

As a previous reviewer notes, these are tight when you first get them. I took the advice of the same reviewer and wore these around the house with thick socks to stretch them out. It worked like a charm and I can wear them comfortably with those little footsie no-show socks, so definitely get them in the size you normally wear and do the thick sock trick. Super comfortable and easy to slip on and off.

Love these! So much sturdier than the standard Toms.

First, let me say that these are technically my first pair of Toms. I’ve bought several pairs of the classics, but never could get the size right and finally concluded that they just weren’t for me. These, however, are not anything like the classics. Sizing or otherwise. They are true to size…order whatever size you wear in normal shoes. I wear an 8 across the board (heels, tennis, boots, etc.) and ordered an 8 in these. Perfect fit. They’re cute, comfortable shoes. I practically live in them. I’ve had them for about 6 or 7 months and I’ve worn them to just about any place you can imagine - to football games, to work, to the beach, to the grocery store - you name it. I can wear them all day with no problems. I did have to wash them recently, as they had gotten pretty “icky”. I just pulled the soles out (they aren’t stitched in like the classic Toms) and hand washed/soaked them in the sink with a little pine sol instead of detergent, and threw the shoes in the washing machine on the gentle cycle. Then laid them out to dry and they came out almost like new. I can’t recommend these enough. I only took away a star because the wax coating does wear off after a while. I can’t say that I noticed exactly when that happened, but it was definitely before I put them in the wash. That’s not a huge deal for me, as I expect for shoes to show signs of wear at some point. But the coating does add to the cuteness of the shoe and it was a selling point for me, so it is worth mentioning. The pictures show how they look today.

I love these shoes, but they're also kind of a bummer. They look amazing, but are not very comfortable.-After wearing them for a couple days, they have stretched out considerably.-They are not lined, so there are uncovered seams on the inside of the shoe that rub against my foot. I put some moleskin over the seams, but it hasn't made any difference. I feel like the Princess and the Pea.-The fabric is stiff and rubbed my heels raw. I put some moleskin on the back and it's helped a bit with the chafing there.

I’ve kept this product because it’s absolutely fine but, as the photo shows, they are not natural colour as sold. They’re actually rose gold metallic woven, which is quite different as I have an old pair of natural ones. They should be listed correctly Amazon!

My wife has several pairs of Toms Loafers as she finds them stylish, comfortable and reasonably priced.

Real sizeI am wearing 6.5 -7 so size 7 is perfect. Very comfortable

Lovely shoe but small fitting. I am a slim fitting uk 6 but couldn't get it on need to go up a size. Colour more rose gold than natural.

Excellent shoes. Lightweight and comfortable. I took them on holiday to wear in the evening. They don't take up much space in a suitcase and go with everything.
