GE Replacement Refrigerator / Freezer Ice Maker WR30X0327

Make sure the Ice Maker is LEVEL (FRONT to BACK) when tightening the 2 screws that hold it to the side of the freezer wall. A little known secret that I did not see anywhere in the instructions is !!!!! The size of the Ice Cubes can be (Regulated) or (Adjusted) by this. Pulling the front cover off, Pull hard, then with a very small screwdriver, turn the tiny screw with a Straight Blade Jewelers screwdriver or something small, turn the small white plastic screw left or right + or - to get the desired Size of Ice Cubes to your liking. Let it make a few batches first then see if they Suit your Fancy !!!!! Thank You Amazon and the Seller for a Swell Product !!!!

Easy match up, installed quick, Fits like a glove!Started making ice about an hour after install. The temperature of the unit has to be around 15° based on what I've read. Several videos on YouTube about the installation and troubleshooting.Didn't need to unplug the fridge or shut the water off. Very easy to install. 5 stars!

Very easy install. My refrigerator is about 20 years old. (1) Turned the refrigerator off at the circuit breaker (2) Remove the old ice maker… 3 screws and connector (3) Install new ice maker… 2 screws and connector (4) Switch power breaker back on (5) Patience … ice in about 5 hours.

It fit in my GE fridge and it works fine. I am a maintenance person and it took 5 minutes to replace. Anyone can do it with a screwdriver or nut driver depending what is holding your old ice maker in.

Ice maker is installed and working fine. Delivery was very prompt arriving more than 3 days ahead of estimated delivery. Support, though, from the manufacturer, SUPCO, Sealed Unit Parts Co., Inc. was non existent. (This was not the seller, but the only instructions provided by the seller was from SUPCO.) Documents delivered with product did not indicate that it was a fit for my freezer. My ice maker model number was WR30X0327 which is the number shown on the Amazon description page. The only documents delivered with the new unit say it is a replacement for model number WR30X10093. However the installation instructions covered 3 different scenarios - porcelain interior without ice dispenser, porcelain interior with ice dispenser and plastic interior. Support couldn't tell me how to tell if my interior was porcelain or plastic. I don't believe it to be porcelain but wasn't certain. Support said it was highly unlikely it was porcelain. Maybe it is porcelain because I ended up doing as was indicated in the porcelain instructions and it seems to be working.The instructions for plastic interior state to "remove fill cup, ice maker insert and plastic stripper plate from the old ice maker." I have no idea what the ice maker insert is. "Note - you must remove the old stripper place (sic) and use it on the new ice maker. Do not use the new stripper plate." This is the point where I called "technical" support for SUPCO.The stripper plate from my old unit did not match the size/dimensions of the new unit. I wanted to make sure I wasn't about to screw something up before I went any further. The tech who took my call asked for the model of my refrigerator and said he would call me back in 10 minutes. I also gave him the model number listed on the old ice maker which is the number I used to find this product and the number that is listed on the description page on Amazon. He stated that he didn't care about the ice maker model number. He only referenced the refrigerator model number. He did call call back about 20" later which was fine by me. But at that point he said the only advice he could give me was to call a qualified installation/refrigeration person to have my unit installed.I installed the new unit as it came to me without changing any parts. It seems to be working just fine. I think that the shut off wire is not low enough to prevent an excessive amount of ice being produced before shut off but I think I can "adjust" the wire to compensate for that issue.3 stars is only because of the lack of support for the installation instructions.

Very easy to install. Fit like it was make for my refrigerator. Made ice within a few hours!
