Great little reel very well finished reel looks a lot more expensive, great value highly recommended.

Nice light reel but had problem with line tangling up inside case .

Been salmon fishing for over 30 years and i can honestly say these are the worst reels i have ever had the misfortune of laying my hands on.I bought the 3000 and the 4000 version and within 3 weeks both started to seize up and grind and continued to get worse to the point where they became unusable and also the rear drag function totally failed on both , both reels got very little use and were never abused..Stay clear they are cheap nasty rubbish and am very dissapointed and surprised at Shimano.My local fishing tackle shop stopped selling them a while back for the very same reason failure after failure..

I've been looking for a series 3000....They had mention that it could take 30 to 45 days to arrive.That seemed excessive and I wondered if it was for real.At 45 days with no shipping notice, I was beginning to think it truly was a scam.Then, the night of the 45th day I got an email stating that it was going to be a couple more days.Finally a shipping notice! Surprise me.Course, it was coming from Florida, and we all know that Florida is in another country, so I guess that explains the long wait time until they could find one to send out to me!2 positive things came about when it was delivered, it arrived, and it came with an extra spool! So I've got that going for me! LOLDamn fine reels, I've got several 2500s and 4000s, and love the rear drag! Easier to deal with it in a fight!Hope I can find another 3000 model!
