Addis-Brushmann Enclosed Dustpan and Brush Set (Hard Brush)

There don't seem to be many proper dustpans available on Amazon, but this is one. What do I mean by "proper"? Good, stiff, non-warped plastic with a tapered bottom edge, so dirt goes into, not under it. Enclosed or hooded top, so dirt doesn't fly over the back edge when sweeping firmly, also allows you to tilt it back while you head to the bin and not have to worry about stuff falling off the top of it. Handy in outdoor conditions too, where the wind can blow dirt back off of open top dustpans. Being hooded, the handle is attached in two places, so it's less likely to bend or snap off like on cheapo shovel type dustpans. As a bonus to the properness of this dustpan, it came with a strd, wooden-handled, old-school soft brush, perfect for sweeping up bits on hard floors.

Good for hard surface like rug.

Yes pleased with this, brush is wooden and does not at all match the dust pan which surprised me. Really good stiff quite largebrush though, does the job really well. It does not fit in the dust pan very well as is a bit too large for that. Not a matching setbut that does not matter to me, am pleased to have purchased it. Nice to have dust pan with a roof........not open plan.......!

Just what I wanted, the added bonus was the stiff brush.

The brush that is supposed to be soft is a stiff type..the pan is a bit flimsey..ok for light use but not for heavy use i.e builders use

I have one of these pans that is decades old and it is excellent but I have always been worried that it would be damaged and become unusable. This new one is just as good in every way having a feather edge front lip which allows the sweepings to enter the pan without scattering and the combined lid keeps them there! Unfortunately the soft brush isn't a patch on the original being not as slim and soft.

Our cat brings in the odd mouse and lets it loose inside and the best way to catch them is by this enclosed top pan. They cannot easily escape so they are then repatriated to the hedge bottom. The builders did for my previous dustpan so hopefully this will fare better especially if they don’t find it. It certainly looks sturdy and the stiff brush will be good for cleaning doormats. Would recommend.
