Cheap Copy of the Classic British Army Mark III Liquid Prismatic Compass
This is a very cheap metal copy of the classic British army Mark III compass from WWII, originally made by Francis Barker & Son. It barely works, possibly because in order to lower the cost all of the components are cheap and some of them are also magnetic. It is okay for playing with, but I wouldn't take it into a wilderness. Proper new ones by Pyser Optics (who bought out FB&S) look similar and cost about £250, so for what you get, a toy, it's good value. And it's not lensatic, it's definitely prismatic.

Cannot give less than one Star!
If your life depends on this compass, you are dead! It sticks and N point tilts unnervingly downward. Inaccurate bit of kit which only in appearance resembles the original circa. WW2 army marching compass. I own one of these army compasses and purchasing this, "Lensatic" compass along with another one that had to be returned, I decided to search for an expert that could put my compass back in order. It had taken a blow and the card pivot was bent. Total refurb? £70 including postage back to me.

The viewfinder is plastic and fragile.
The viewfinder is made of plastic and broke after a few weeks. Without the viewfinder you cannot use it properly.

Bubble
Unbelievable that the vendor's photograph clearly shows the compass has a bubble. I wonder if this is the best one they could find?
