These were surprisingly great towels. There was the expected minor amount of cotton fluff that came off on us after the first use or two, but that was mostly because we were too excited to wash them first. After the first wash, there was no problem whatsoever. The towels are perfectly soft, but not overly so. They're absorbent, and look nice. Careful if you have hair dye... they'll absorb the color. The packaging says not to use chlorine bleach, but we did anyway, and they were back to perfectly white with no problems. The size of the towel is 'normal'. They're neither particularly big, and they're not too small. Since they're so cheap, we will definitely be buying a second set when we need them. We were originally going to just use these as 'guest' towels, but they've already been upgraded to our everyday towels. If you're on the edge between different brands, or other cheap white towels... these are the ones to get. They're not high end super amazing towels like those you can get at Bloomingdales... but they're great normal towels.

This is, simply, an excellent product. Stand up to washing and drying and they don't fray or wrinkle or shrink...at all! After a couple months' worth of use, they still come out of the dryer perfect and fluffy, and fold up perfectly, looking like new. Even the tags are awesome: they don't hang out the edges, and don't fade, fray or wrinkle, either, so I don't feel compelled to remove them as I usually do... Yes, I am that picky! They are soft, but not that obnoxious kind of soft that doesn't actually absorb the water and dry you off. I would purchase these again in a heartbeat...but from the way they are performing so far, I have a feeling I won't have to, because I expect to have this set in use for years to come! I have bought literally *dozens* of brands of white towels and washcloths over the past fifteen years and these are, by far, my best investment ever, and at a very reasonable price for such a high end product!

Set of 4 bath towels, received as ordered. I'd highly recommend; Make sure to run these towels through the washer and dryer BEFORE using them, as they will shed a bit, which seemed to stop after the first few laundering cycles. After that they remain soft and absorbent. They are thick and well made. It's been 4 months since I received these towels. They are still thick and fluffy and have not fallen apart like other bath towels I own, even after numerous laundering. Highly recommended.

These are nice towels. They aren't the best I've ever had, but they are fine. I also ordered the wash clothes and hand towels. I followed the instructions on prewashing with vinegar. I didn't have any coating or lint problems with them. They absorb and dry well. Why they didn't earn five stars: 1. They are slightly on the skimpy size. I've been using Land's End towels for several years. They are slightly larger. I think Land's End has slipped on quality and didn't want to take a chance with reordering. 2. They only come in white. I'd like a color choice. White would have been fine if they were the greatest towels I'd ever purchased. If I had seen them ahead of time in a store, I probably won't have purchased.

These are great towels: very absorbent and thick and sturdy. No skimpy towels here. I wish they came with hand towels of the same quality. But no matter, this is a great deal and if you are looking for basic towels that are of good quality and that really soak up water, go with these. I have had so many other towels that don't seem to absorb water. It is very odd. It's a towel. I've read reviews that say you have to soak them for 4 hours in vinegar and baking soda before you wash and dry them the first time, in order to get out protective chemicals. Who has time for that? These are wonderful towels that don't require any fussing and the price for the quality is fabulous.

I ordered one set of these last fall, and they were just as described and pictured: plush, thick, nice herringbone dobby. So, when I needed more of them, I called up the old order and clicked "purchase" to get some more. Unfortunately, without thinking, this time I had used a different seller, and what arrived was completely different, and subpar in every way: four thin towels stuffed into a shipping envelope with no additional packaging, stained with little red spots, dirty with brown mud on them, and a totally different design. I returned those right away, and re-ordered from a different seller. This time, the product was four towels labeled "Salbakos Cambridge Collection", which again don't look like the picture I'm seeing on the "Luxury Hotel and Spa" towel page, but do look like a customer image with the caption "this is what the dobby looks like". These are at least white, stain-free, somewhat thicker, and almost plush-seeming. The dobby is not the nice herringbone one pictured, but it's okay, and I'm not going to kill any more polar bears by shipping towels around the country trying to get the ones that are pictured. I don't understand how things with such different names and descriptions can all be sold under the same description, but I suppose this probably explains the wide range of customer experiences with this product. Next time, I know not to use a third party seller for a product like this.

Just received these towels a few days ago. I washed them right away and so far they laundered perfectly. Some fuzz in the lint screen but that is to be expected. They are a nice size, soft and absorbent right off the bat. Even my 6'4'' husband thinks they are just fine size-wise. If these continue to launder well, you wont hear another peep out of me! Nice product at a great price.
