we give our grandkids advent calendars every Christmas, this year we were looking for something a little different from the traditional candy each day and when we saw this ordered it to see what it was like.Here is what we found.1 this is a unique calendar in that each day kit builds on the last to create the final Christmas tree on Christmas eve, instead of getting separate individual pieces of candy or toys.2. it comes with 24 individually marked packages labeled for each day 1-24 and you open them corresponding with the days of December and add that days kit to the overall build3. It comes with a pretty good instruction booklet that shows an illustration of each days kit and then step by step how to build it. while it is complete and once you understand how it is organized easy to follow. I personally think it would have been better to put each day's kit on its own individual page instead of sometimes having them on the same page as the day before and sometimes on two separate pages , but once you understand where the different day kits begin and end the instructions are easy to follow.conclusion:while I am using this as an advent Calendar and therefore it is has not been built I can see that it is going to be a fun activity for the whole family and will be a unique and nice looking Christmas project and looking forward to watching the kids put it together and then using it as a table decoration on Christmas day.

The build-up to Christmas Day can seem to take forever for children but this “advent calendar” construction set may help make the time pass a little faster.The kit includes all the plastic interlocking construction blocks and accessories (1,083!) to build a Christmas tree about 12 inches tall. Separate plastic packaging for each day is marked, “Merry Christmas” as well as a number, from 1 to 24Construction is done one day at a time (make sure you take out the packages in numerical order) until Christmas Eve. On the 24th, there is an LED light accessory which can be installed to illuminate the completed tree.The colors of the plastic bricks are generally typical of other name brand construction kits, with a few custom colors in the set to better create wrapped packages and Christmas ornaments. I especially like the cute teddy bears!The instruction booklet is well-detailed and thankfully it’s printed in full color. Note that the construction is not basic and, since each day is building upon the previous one, it’s important to follow those instructions carefully to get a final result which looks like the tree on the box.

For an Off brand set of blocks I think this is a pretty pricey option.It does come packaged well and seems like it'll be a unique Advent item compared to just a piece of candy each day.Overall I'm happy with it but the price does seem high for what you're getting.
