staple for adding to healthy protein/fat "desserts" (ie cottage cheese cheese cake cups)
In short: crispy, light, fresh. Well packaged. Pleasant flavor. No weird taste (to me). I could use more spice, but it works for my needs (crumbling over keto cheesecake). 3 cookies to a packet. I already have another order going in.------------------------------------I accidentally found myself engaging in keto based diet. I say accidentally because at first I was just increasing healthy foods and reducing less healthy foods. But I wasnt noticing changes in bloodwork. I then decided to reduce refined carbs a little, then a lot, and now I am --without much effort--, consuming maybe 40 net carbs per day. Way easier onceI began to boost protein, fat, and fiber. The majority of my usual carbs slipped away because I just didnt have appetite for it. Food noise diminished. Big changes in my body followed quickly. Cool! Love reinforcement like that.So while I dont have a sweet tooth since this change, I am keen on a little creative protein and fat use. I saw someone make a parfait/icecream/cheesecake of the sort using blended up cottage cheese (blend until smooth), then they added a little (like, just 1-2 strawberries), a smidge of sweetener (I used a little monk fruit), and then topped with 1.5 of these cookies. Each pack contains 3, so just half a pack. Then placed in fridge or freezer for a few minutes to firm up. It produced a cheesecake like vibe. I sometimes add a little strawberry extract to boost the strawberry flavor. Maybe they did too. Whatever, it was delightful. And was easy way to boost my fiber, protein, and fat.Anyway, I looked up this product right away. Read up on it, and proceeded to buy a pack.I have had "keto" products in the past, and overall I didnt care for them. They seem to taste best when actually on a keto diet (or something approximate to) as I swear tastebuds change. But when not eating like that, it tastes weird. Well, I tried these about 2 weeks into the change over, and I find them fantastic. I wouldnt mind a little more "spice", but I think they have a neat flavor. I would eat these whether I was dieting or not. I really just use them to add a little texture and flavor to the cottage cheese "dessert". I dont eat it every day, so a pack of these will last me a long time. I normally use half a pack, but even a full pack doesnt add much.I really didnt want to get into desserts, no matter how low carb, but some of the stuff I see now (compared to years ago) looks and sounds so good. This brand has A LOT of options, and the prices arent too shabby (not that I rate on price). I may get some of their marshmallows and try it out using a pack of these cookies to make a sort of "smore:.-------------------------------------------OK, so does it raise blood sugar? I dont know. I am looking to get a continuous glucose monitor. I do have a regular monitor but I have been remiss in using it. Perhaps I will update if I ever think to test before and after eating this.As I learn more about "sugars" and hidden sugars and other ingredients that could spike insulin levels (I am prediabetic, and it is with this that changes were happening), I learned that everyone is different. So monitoring is good. But something may raise it for one person, but not at all for another. Another thing is how often someone eats and what all they are eating at the time. I prefer to "wrap" my foods in protein and fat when and where possible. I doubt I would eat this plain, as a snack. Instead it is part of a larger meal, at the end. I eat 2x a day, no snacking. Every single time anything goes in the mouth, the body activates insulin. So I keep that in mindOne thing to generally avoid is maltodextrin, especially corn fiber based. Tapioca based isnt as "bad". SO I looked at this and saw "soluble corn fiber dextrin", and wondered if that was going to be an issue. I asked the web for the difference between this and maltodextrin, and I was pleased to see that,"Soluble corn fiber (resistant dextrin) is a non-digestible, prebiotic fiber that has a low impact on blood sugar levels, unlike maltodextrin, a highly processed starch that acts like sugar in the body. The primary difference is digestibility: resistant dextrin is designed to bypass digestion and provide fiber benefits, while maltodextrin is broken down into glucose, providing quick energy but raising blood sugar. Resistant dextrin also has fewer calories and helps regulate blood sugar and improve gut health, making it suitable for low-carb diets, whereas maltodextrin is higher in calories and can cause blood sugar spikes". Lots more details, so if you want to know more use this search:"soluble corn fiber resistant dextrin vs maltodextrin"

A Low Carb, Gluten Free Treat That Satisfies
How have I missed these? Although pricey like other low-carb foods, these ChocZero cookies are worth the additional cost! They taste exactly like the versions they replace!!! No grittiness present as in many alternative flour cookies. And none of that protein powder flavor aftertaste found in other low carb cookies. I've also purchased two other ChocZero cookie varieties, and all three are so good, I finally feel "normal" again, enjoying a dessert that bites, tastes, and satisfies like regular cookies. For me, the absence of that tongue-coating chemical aftertaste is, the clean list of ingredients and the amazingly true flavor set these apart as being the best of the offerings available! I'm going to purchase boxes of these as gifts for other low carb, gluten free friends who struggle for happy, true-to-taste alternatives.

Mmmmmm!
These are nicely cinnamon-y. they were mostly broke but they make a great crust and a wonderful parfait, so no worries. Last but certainly not least, they just taste good!

Not good for dipping. Arrive broken or in crumbs
The media could not be loaded. Delicious! But can’t be used as dippers . They arrive broken or in crumbs. I chose to eat these instead of the other brand which is full of carbs and sugars. This is my healthy alternative to prevent weight gain and reduce my sugar and carb intake. These are well priced for being an alternative that I consider a healthy alternative. texture is great. It’s just like the alternative and the thickness is similar, I don’t aim to have it be exactly like the alternative because anything that is healthy will not contain all the preservatives and ingredients that bind these foods or give them the flavors as others have. I still recommend these.

My favorite! Perfect for Autumn and Winter.
Delicious! Choc Zero hit their mark with these cookies!!! Excellent flavors, texture, crunch, quality. There are 3 rectangular decoratively embossed cookies in each packet. Most are broken in half, but not crumbly. With the warmth of cinnamon and brown sugar flavors, they are a perfect cookie for fall and winter; but I love them all year round. I only wish the company would offer packages accommodating larger quantities and dial back the cost some to make them more affordable for serving at special occasions. I think I've finally found my favorite diabetic-friendly cookie that tastes like the real thing. I do also like the Choc Zero sandwich cookies, but they still don't compare to this one.

Not worth the money, especially if arriving damaged.
One point off because they are not in packaging that allows for a safe Amazon shipment.Come on, if you're going to buy crackers for 11.99, they need to arrive in nice shape.2nd point off because the texture is rather gritty and sort of lingers on the palate. Also, after eating, the aftertaste is slightly unpleasant. The good news is, the flavor is decent, but they aren't so great that I'd lose control and eat them all! I think they might be nice served with ice cream, but again, they need to arrive intact, so that they can look nice when served.I don't think you can blame shipping on Amazon, this box is no more secure than a box you would buy at the grocery. If ChocZero wants happy customers, they should send them to Amazon in a sturdier box. LOTS of companies now keep that in mind and package appropriately for shipping.

Yummy keto cookies!!
As much as I like eating these on their own, my favorite use of them is as a cheesecake crust for keto cookie butter cheesecake shots. They have the perfect texture and sweetness. ChocZero is the reason I haven't been able to give up sweets, but I can still make adaptations for my keto diet. (The photo also shows a key lime cheesecake shot with crust and crumbs made from ChocZero animal cookies and a strawberry cheesecake shot with crust made from ChocZero vanilla Dunkies.)
