Great tool

Bought it to fit the black & decker workbench 425 I recently purchased. Can't see its use in any other way. Light alloy I was skeptical how it might work but it did hold boards I was measuring and marking for cuts and drilling securely. I would not use it as readily for more secure needs. Will form a clear opinion after using them for several more projects.

I had never even seen a bench with dog holes before deciding to build my own. These sat in my shop for months before I finished the bench top. Once I started using them, they were so useful that I bought more right away. Not sure how I got along without them before. Rock solid, can be turned to hold in any direction, these little puppies hold my work pieces snug as a bug in a rug. The basic dogs work best with a ratcheting dog hole clamp. Wish these bench products were less expensive, but they definitely work well and will last a long time.

So far so good . I've only inserted them in the workbench & clamped down 1 project . I bored out the bench dogs holes with a 3/4" spade paddle bit because the brand new forstner bit wasn't quite doing it's job . These dog hole clamps fit pretty snugly . In fact by forcing them in followed by a couple of clockwise turns the holes are reamed out enough for a looser fit . Because the barrels are knurled they act as a round file / course sandpaper . As far as I can see these are made well enough to stand the test of time . As a note , I'm not one to exert extreme forces on my tools that would cause them to fail . As in handyman , light carpentry &/or hobby work . So far I recommend them .

Right out of the box, they looked great. The knurled peg grips the bench holes and the clamp holds tight. They look and feel solid. Bonus was 2 sets of replacement pads for the clamps. Overall a good bargain.
