Blackout Budget Roller Blind compatible with VELUX Roof Windows with size codes M08 / 308/2, ‎Grey

I bought this blind to replace a Velux one where the cord had caught and blind no longer went up. This blind is a perfect fit but uses 3 screws on the sides and not 4 like the original. I didn’t get any screws with the blind but used the old ones without issue. Two screws hold the main blind part up and then there’s only the two sides to slide in and screw to the wood - which will need new holes as not in same place as velux fitting. This is a little fiddly but easily achieved by even a novice. The blind works great once fitted. The mechanism is different to Velux but works well, it just slides in the runners and not on a string / cord. To return to the open position you have to angle the handle which you use to pull it down, which took me a few seconds to work out. Do not try and push it up like the Velux ones. Takes a little readjustment of your usual closing motion but works well when used to it. Total time to remove old and fit this blind was 10mins max. Very easy and a nice well fitting result. Impressed and a great price. Truly is blackout too. I bought the standard dark grey colour as it was the same as the old one and is very smart. Only small complaint is that the blind has slight lines from folding within the unit but that’s nit picking and the blind is a great replacement. Seller dispatch is quick and shipping tracked.

Such a good product for a fraction of the price compare to buying one direct from Velux. Super easy to install, a little fidgety to fit the screws but apart from that so simple. Fitted within 10 mins and never installed one before. Definitely recommend. Instructions very easy to follow.

This is a fantastic blind, I was nervous about this fitting as my velux is a GGL2/GGL-2. I read that this should fit and it did! PERFECTLY!It is very simple to fit. There are plastic fixings/guides which are screwed in first, then the blind placed into these and screwed in, then the runners are alligned and screwed in. The notable difficult parts are if you are using a short or chunky screwdriver, the screws are very close and it's hard to screw in straight. An electric screwdriver with extension would make this job much easier. The screws are also not magnetic so holding the runners in place initially while screwing in can be awkward.Despite these minor things, it looks great and was a well priced upgrade for a ~35 year old window! Thank you for this!

The blind and mount are good quality. There's very little light seeping through, and they fit perfectly.However, the instructions are not only unfathomable, they're actually deceptive - and the videos on the company website show a man with his back to you rather than any actual installation of the blinds.It turns out, they're actually really easy to install. If you've installed one before, it won't take two minutes. But if it's your first time installing a skylight blind, you're going to spend hours trying to follow the unfathomable, misleading instructions.We've just moved to a new house, I've put up sixteen pieces of flatpack, and four blinds (including this one) in three days, and this was the only thing I've had any problems with. It's not like I can't follow a manual, the manual is just the single most incompetent set of instructions ever created since the dawn of the universe. They're even less realistic than a British Rail time table.But again, the blind is fine, and it's really easy to fit once you realise the instructions are a work of fiction, and figure out what you're doing.

Sons blind in his loft room had stopped rolling and needed a replacement. Didn't want to spend mega bucks and saw this, easy enough to match up to window through the codes. It was easy to follow the instructions and it went up within minutes, just a couple of screws and it was done,. Provides a great black out effect from the sun and the nights outside in the night., son sleeps well and has no complaints, hopefully it will last

Looks great for a fraction of the price of alternatives. Works really well too. Easy to install if you wrap your head around the instructions. Step one is three different installation options. We already have the plastic bits on the frame so we only needed screws from the hardware supplied and none of the plastic parts. I would recommend drilling very small pilot holes for a neat install.

If you’re buying roof blinds you know they don’t come cheap! This item fits perfectly and is easy to install. Seller is very helpful and communicative and I’d highly recommend

La cortina es perfecta para velux, queda ajustada a las medidas que pone y además el vendedor está muy pendiente del envío del producto tanto como si tienes dudas preguntarle. La calidad no se puede mejorar y el montaje es fácil no, facilisimo, todo un descubrimiento. Voy a comprar otra seguro.

C'est la troisième fois que j'achète ces rideaux intérieur Velux. Ils sont juste parfaits! Très bon obscursissant, très faciles à monter et tellement moins cher que la marque Velux. En.plus avec le recul de plusieurs années je ne peux que conseiller ces produits.
