Original Fire Retardant is a transparent, non-toxic spray designed for interior unfinished wood and paper surfaces. ## Description

Certified and approved for use as a transparent fire retardant coating. Spray-apply in a single-coat, to interior, unfinished or natural architectural woodwork where Class A or flame resistance is desired. Not recommended for use on fabric. Water-based, non-toxic, zero VOC content and low emissivity product. Reduces the spread of flame and smoke developed, No-Burn Original in the 32 ounce quart is a do-it-yourself solution.

We just installed a new fireplace with a wood stove insert and were concerned about what kind of mantel we wanted and we didn't want it to get scorched. We tested it on some wood first, before we tried staining the wood. It worked great. Easy to use. It didn't affect the wood stain/color at all. We have recommended it to our builder also.

This item came in super fast so I appreciated the delivery on this. It was easy to spray, and did not have a chemical smell to it at all. Although after applying there was some spots of residue in certain places of the item that I used this product on. Not terribly bad but noticeable.
