Stepdaughter loved it!
She was really wanting something like this so she can practice different hair styles. When she opened it she said “Her hair is so long!” She immediately got it out and had it set up. Came with a lot of tools and some hair accessories which was a great bonus.

Good quality for the price
For the price, I felt it was a very good quality. You could spend much more money and get something just a bit better. I gave this to a young teen for Christmas. She is interested in learning to braid and style hair. It has worked very well for her. As she works out a style she shows it to a relative and then does their hair!

Silky hair, but sheds like crazy!
This is the first cosmetology mannequin head that we've owned. I got this for my daughter (age 7.5) because she became enamored with a similar one at an indoor play place. She has been playing with this for hours and loves it. It comes with a comb, fake eyelashes, and a little stand that you can clamp onto something (we picked a stool). However, there were no instructions for how to use the stand or how to care for the styling head. I am guessing that you cannot wash or use heat products on this head. My daughter likes to comb, brush, and style the hair. I found braiding to be easy to do. The only thing is WOW does it shed. My daughter is not being rough with it and I showed her how to start at the bottom of the hair and comb/brush up so that you're not pulling on any knots. Do all styling heads shed so much?? Also, the hair on the top of the head is very thin. I'm not sure if that is typical, but this is unlike the ones we used at the indoor play place.Still, I think this was much better for her than a doll styling head because she can do much more with it.
