RemoET-7110-00 Kids Percussion Lollipop Drum, 10"

This is one of three drums I purchased April 29th of this year to work with our son on some targeted music therapy and habilitation imitation goals. The other two were more traditional hand drums. This one I purchased because I thought it would be most useful for imitation type activities, because I knew the handle would make this one easier for him to hold and keep upright independently.So, day one: He wouldn't touch it. Looked too different from any of his other drums. Day two, he was willing to bang it as part of imitation exercises in conjunction with his hab program. By day three, he was trying to eat the foam ball on top of the mallet. So, the foam ball actually is very easily damaged by teeth, which is nothing unexpected given the substance. It does produce a good enough sound tone for a toy drum, surprisingly good actually. So if you have a chewer, the mallet is one you will have to watch carefully. For now, we are sticking with hand strikes on this one.So when it comes to hand striking this drum, you have to use knuckles and nock to get it to produce a good sound. A flat hand the sound is quite muted unless you strike with finger tips alone. So this is something you can use however you need to if you have a child that is sensitive to sound.So this hasn't seen super heavy use, but we have been using it every day, some for some neurological music therapy exercises targeting his vestibular, and some targeting imitation goals. About two days ago, I noticed the label covering the handle peeling. So there seem to be two labels on the handle. Since the first one was peeling off, and my son's fine motor has progressed enough he can pull of labels and tape if they are starting that way, I peeled it off so he wouldn't try to eat it when I had my back turned. And the designs on the handle are in place via another label, one that is easily squished and moved by my fingers. So I covered it with packing tape. This is a cosmetic issue, as it seems that the handle is a solid plastic tube, so I wasn't as concerned about it for me. But I pass this along in case this is something that bothers you or you would be worried about if you were giving a gift.Now this is the drum he prefers over the hand drums, though I have been using all three with him, I think because of the handle and it being easier to hold. So I find it useful, it seems solidly made, and both my children like it.

The media could not be loaded.  I saw this at DD's music teacher's house and I thought it was the cutest drum ever!I am so glad I found this on Amazon!I got the 10" size and I think it makes a very good sound. Both my kids 2 and 8 love playing with it.It's easy for my toddler to hold and drum.It's good quality. My toddlers drags it around and bangs it on the floor but it's held up to all the abuse and looks like new still.The video I've attached is taken after a year of owning it and it looks brand new still.It makes a good photo op too! I took pics of my LO holding the drum and my daughter pretending it's a lollipop.This is in my list of gifts that friends' kids would love.

Then this is the perfect toy for you!Actually, though, my stepbrother and his wife loved this toy. They're all very musically talented, so they loved the idea that I was encouraging their son to play a drum.... they just make sure to put it away somewhere high when it's not drum-time.This drum is light enough for a small child to lift, and the mallet isn't too hard so you're not lightly to be hurt with it if you're accidentally smacked with it. This is another toy that will be passed down the to younger son in the family once he's old enough to use it, since it's durable and is still being used after 3+ years.

I ordered this from Amazon for my two year old grand niece and have been playing it since I opened it. This is a real drum with a good deep tone and a pretty background hum.Lucky for me, the 10 inch model seems a little big for someone so small; so I'm going to keep it for myself and order the 8 inch one for her. That way, when we play together, we'll have two different tones.The drum is very sturdy and so colorful that you smile just opening the package. I feel like buying a bunch of them for family and friends.This, to me, seems like a gift for all ages; but I'm sure that any child would be delighted with it.

I purchased this for my friend's daughter's 2nd birthday last fall. Although I wasn't able to personally give it to her because they live in Oklahoma, I had it shipped as a gift to her via Amazon with the intention of giving them a headache. You know, for fun and a prank as good friends do to each other. My goal was to give her a FUN toy that is obnoxious to her parents.Of course I never really knew how much she liked it but on occasion, even to this day (she's almost 3 years old now), they Facebook message me telling me how they are going to pay me back when I have a child. HAHA! They say when she has this toy, she constantly walks around the house banging on it for fun, singing. To them of course, it's just a bunch of child racket and is really annoying.My mission was accomplished.

MY 2 year old grandkids love marching around the house banging on their drums.

è arrivato nei tempi previsti e ben imballato; mia figlia lo ha voluto dopo averlo visto dalla sua amichetta. lo usa anche in casa e non disturba i vicini. maneggevole, peccato solo che la bacchetta non si incastri dietro. come visto fare, abbiamo legato un nastro alla bacchetta e al manico del percussion.

We bought this for our 18 month old who is attending Rhythm Time baby music classes and loves banging the drums. Not quite sure what I was thinking when I decided to bring the noise into our home but the bab loves this.It isn't cheap but then again you can tell it is well made and I expect it will last a long time. The bab has put a few teeth marks in the beater by trying to chew it but that's what you get for giving something soft to a teething baby. To be fair they are only little dents and it still plays just fine.It is quite big and fairly heavy so we hold the drum up while the bab whacks it we glee, which is fine as that's just the same as we do at class.Overall, I am very pleased and I'm sure the bab would recommend. 5 Stars.
