I really love how it feels in your hand. The all metal design has a nice weight to it and balances in your grip very nicely. I'm a huge fan of the Kuru Toga series and they all have their little quirks. I normally use the Roulette model for sketching but that design uses both metal and plastic while this Metal version is All Metal. It feels very premium. It has the famous Kuru Toga engine. It came nicely packaged and brand new. However, I wish the tip would hide but it doesn't. And it also comes with a very hefty price tag. This is definately not for everyone but I have an huge obsession with stationary esp. those from Japan so I went for it so I can add it to my collection. Please note: my review is for mainly for the item but it loses 1 star only cause the price is a bit too steep for what you get. Still a beautfully crafted mechanical pencil

Favorite pencil used to date. I write a lot and do a lot of math, so the fine tip helps a lot to keep things small and tidy with my otherwise bad handwriting. Lead rotation works as advertised, feels great in the hand and is light weight but sturdy. Seems like it will hold up for a long time, as long as I don’t go out and lose it.

使って知るクルトガの良さ。メタルの手触り感と高級感、作りの良さ。 書きやすく、メモ帳に残る字が読みやすくて書くのが楽しい。日常的にメモや日記など手書きをされる方はぜひ。

Best mechanical pencil out there, the weight is perfect and the style is a very good middle ground between luxurious and industrial. Only downside for long term durability is the Kurutoga mechanism inside is plastic, so that’s not going to be like those fully mechanical ones. On the upside, the rotation of the mechanism feels natural.

It's an amazing pencil, very high quality, looks great and works well, but has a very specific surface finish that some people (myself included) are sensitive to when touching or rubbing. It's a similar surface finish that a rough lathe pass leaves. The picture doesn't quite convey it, but it's very fine circular ridges that produce scatchy sound when you rub them. If you're not sensitive to that, then ignore this review and buy the pencil. If you are, you might be literally unable to hold it without feeling discomfort.
