**Q: Does this satellite work with GloryStar (Galaxy 19)? Need a replacement for the receiver that died.**
A: Yes, this receiver works with Galaxy 19 97.0W for all of the Free To Air un-encrypted channels. It will not work for paid channels.

**Q: for this item, do you have to have a satellite provider, such as dish or direct ,to operate this  receiver?**
A: No subscription or satellite provider is required but you will also need a physical dish, mounting hardware and signal cable.  The receiver is for FTA - 'free to air' satellite transmissions.  The stations are typically foreign language, religious content, with some English channels. The receiver will not decode or display DISH or DirecTV satellite transmissions.

**Q: Anybody has problem with slow booting when turn on and button delay when changing channel?  Didn't have this problem with pansat, viewsat,captivework**
A: I have not had this problem, but during initial setup the unit failed to search for the satellite. I called the manufacturer for technical support. They were extremely helpful and although it took some time, they stayed on the line with me until the problem was resolved. Great customer service. I would recommend you give them a call. **Q: can it upgrade to  use iks ? And is the software  available  to upgrade  it someplace ?**
A: No, this receiver can not be used with IKS, nor any other means of pay tv signal piracy. It is for legal FTA use only.

Bought this receiver to replace a different brand that was fried by lightening that hit the house. Connected the receiver and ran a blind scan. 250 channels on Galaxy 19, signal was excellent, wife happy!

Excellent product! Well illustrated installation booklet available on-line form manufacture. Purchase it to replaced a failed 5 year FTA receiver. Highly recommend this product for its capabilities, ease of use and setup.
