I had some trips lately and tore the tendons in my shoulder, I used to wear sandals and birkenstocks around the house and garden as they are comfortable as well as allowing air to get to the feet. But I was professionally advised that they did not offer the souport I needed at this stage of my life and were contributing to my unwelcome " trips and falls " so I purchased these particular shoes for home and garden use. They were double the price in colours black or blue, so I got them in a unfashionable grey colour and saved a considerable amount. I have found them extremely comfortable and feel a lot safer in them due to the design and support offered.
