Buddeez32-Quart Dispenser for Pet Food and Bird Seed, X-Large

It appears I wasn't the only one looking to purchase these to store a full bag of wood pellets for a grill, and it also appears I wasn't the only one totally uncertain of which size would fit a full bag of pellets. I'm posting this review to help others who have the same confusion, due to the discrepancies in the product details here on Amazon!**Bags of Traeger pellets are 20 lbs.**There are 2 very different sized containers available - both of which are called "Large" right in the Product Title (?!?).Naturally, I chose the larger of the 2...since the smaller of the 2 states that it holds only UP TO 12 LBS. (In fact in all 3 places where the capacity is stated, 20 lb is the max capacity you will find mentioned... and that refers to BIRDSEED. Given grilling pellets are much larger than pieces of birdseed, an accurate assumotion should be that 20 lbs. of pellets would take up more volume & therefore would NOT fit in the smaller container. NOT THE CASE!)❌ The 1st ones ordered (far too large):◾The Amazon TITLE OF THE PRODUCT states "Large (Up to 22lb)"◾The Amazon DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT states "8-gallon storage dispenser works with up to 22 lb. bags of dog food, 25 lbs. of cat food or 32 lb. bird seed bags."◾Once it arrived, the LABEL ON THE CONTAINER states "Holds up to 32 lb"✅ The 2nd ones I ordered (these are a perfect fit):◾The Amazon TITLE OF THE PRODUCT states "Buddeez Large (Up to 12lb)"◾The Amazon DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT states "Heavy-duty dispenser for large bags - up to 12 lb. dog food, 12 lb. cat food and 20 lb. bird seed bags."◾Yet once it arrived, the LABEL ON THE CONTAINER states "Holds up to 16 lb"All of this discrepancy makes this a confusing decision for buyers. I can confirm that YOU CAN FIT AN ENTIRE 20 LB BAG OF TRAEGER PELLETS INTO THE SMALLER CONTAINER (the one that currently states 12 lbs in the DESCRIPTION, 16 lbs on the LABEL).I will be requesting a return of the larger containers.I also hope that Amazon will update the Product Titles to reflect what is listed on the product's label!!

It just came today. I like to store my dog food in the original bag. I usually put a few pounds in a tin near her bowl, and use packing tape to roll down the bag to keep it fresh. The description on the listing says 22 lb capacity. The sticker on the container said 32 lbs. Obviously, density of material matters, but a new bag of Taste of the Wild puppy recipe, fit, with bag, quite easily. I am guessing the 28 lb bag, once opened, with the top of the bag trimmed, will fit entirely. I'll try to remember to report back, once we are up to that size of bag. I think a 1/4 of a14 lb bag, plus the newly purchased bag might fit, too.I really like the big handle, and the lid door that opens big enough for me to use the cup sized scooper. I may cut the little flanges off the container, and reverse the lid, so that I can use the handle to pull the container out, and have the lid door at the same end. I also may cut off the large flanges that form the chute to pour stuff. I don't think I would use it that way, though if it were for several big dogs' food, kitty litter or bird seed, that function seems useful. At less than $11 for this size, I think I'll customize it, exactly how I will use it. (Just one med sized dog, 10 mo. old, rescue, so he'll be on puppy chow for several more months.Update 7/20: Finally up to a 28 lb bag, which fits perfectly. I like to put the bag into the container and cut the top of the bag off, so there will never be any stale bits leftover. 32 lbs of this kind of dog kibble would definitely fit, maybe a little more. This is perfect for us, I may cut the chute flanges off, as we always ready in thru the little "door" and scoop food out. This was a real steal at less than $11!

This Dispenser is terrific! I do not get to use it entirely the way it was designed, but close enough.I pour my kitty food from the big bag into containers and then scoop it out onto the plates. My food brand makes really badly designed bags. They have creases and seams and oddly attached wings at the top of the bag. They're impossible to pour from unless I cut off the top completely, thereby defeating the zippy closure. The closure never worked well anyway but this guaranteed I'd need huge rubber bands to keep the bag closed. (The bags are very slippery tough plastic.I cant just roll the bag up and expect it to stay.) I thought this dispenser would solve my problem but alas of course not! The top of the bag will not accomodate the dispenser design. And the top of the bag after cutting off the impossible creases and seams no longer comes up high enough to engage with the dispenser's clever top!So.. i got a 30 gallon plastic bag and put it in the dispenser and poured the 15 pounds of food in. Then I attached the lid. Now I can pour really well into the big containers and when the food's gone, I just toss the plastic bag and get a new one and fill it back up.I used to have one of those wall dispensers but I didnt like the idea of the food being in contact with the holes for the screws that went into the wall. So I would "line" the inside with a tall kitchen can bag. I had to tape it all around the top to get it to stay and then I would cut the bottom of the bag at the bottom shute so the kibble could pass thru. But setting that bag up was such a tedious task, I used to leave the bag in there for several cycles before changing it. This never made me feel completely happy. The plastic would get disgusting! And then eventually I was no longer feeding 7 cats the same kibble, so the wall dispenser was not really helpful anymore.My new system of using this Dispenser and a plastic bag is so easy and neat.. I'm very pleased.. Great design and good price.

I like the airtight storage and the size of the container. It has multiple options for dispensing and it being clear in color is easy for viewing.

Use these for large bags of cat and dog food and they work perfectly for us. Given the weight and size of the large bags, I haven’t used the pour spout as I don’t want to lift and awkwardly pour (I would just make a mess!).I love that they have a lip inside the lid that you can place on the inside of the bag to help hold the bag open inside the container if you choose to not just dump the bag in.We buy 25lb bags of food. This size would not fit the really big Costco size bags of food.
