Great knife except for hot spots
I really like this knife, it's well balanced and not too light or heavy. The blade is 7" which I prefer over the ubiquitous 6". The blade is very sharp and is not too thin or thick. The handle is a nice size and shape so it fits well into the hand and won't twist like round handles tend to do. The knife does very well with precision cutting. My only contention with this knife is that if you use a pinch grip you're going to feel sharp edges on the rib (top of the blade) and will feel uncomfortable. The same goes for the Choil, too sharp and where the Choil meets the edge of the blade is a sharp point that is dangerous. Fortunately, I'm well supplied with metal smithing tools and was able to smooth the rough edges to a comfortable working degree.

Good materials but edge not ground evenly
I used this knife once to chop vegetables, and noticed that I had to "slice" aggressively rather than merely "chop" to separate the bottom of the vegetables. After washing, I happened to look at the edge and understood why. The edge is neither straight nor uniformly convex, but convex towards the end of the blade and uneven in the middle.Other than that glaring issue, materials seem pretty solid and it matches my other cheap knives (from a decent brand that doesn't make a nakiri), so I'll probably keep it in my knife block and not use it unless all the others are dirty.

Dull and won't hold an edge.
This is dull and won't hold an edge. I have sharpened it many times and it's still not staying sharp.

Nakiri is 6 inches not 7 inches
Not as advertised...I already had a 6 inch nakiri and was hoping for an extra inch to make it easier to rock chop. I thought the nakiri measured the length of the blade. However, it is sharp right out of the box and the handle is very well fitted and smooth. This nakiri is very comfortable to handle.

My Best Knife in My Chef Bag
This is an exceptional knife for processing fruits and vegetables. Extremely sharp out of the package, as a personal chef I wish I would have bought one years ago. I use other Acero knives for the value and quality and this is no exception. You need this knife!
