Featuring dual map scales (1:25k & 1:50k), a rotating bezel with declination adjustment, and a sighting mirror for precise long-distance bearings, it excels in both map work and field navigation. Glow-in-the-dark markers and a non-slip rubber grip ensure reliable use in low light and challenging conditions, making it the perfect compass for hiking, mountaineering, and military-style expeditions. ## Description The Ranger S Black Compass is a simple compass used and appreciated by many users, including mountaineers, backpackers and hunters. The Silva Ranger compasses have all the necessary features you need for your adventures. Ranger is equipped with a non-slip ring, removable carrying strap with safety opening and luminous markers for navigation in the dark. Ranger has the scales on the base plate to help you measure distances more easily. The scales are 1:25,000 and 1:50,000. MIRROR COMPASS FOR LONG DISTANCES A target compass is a compass with an integrated mirror that gives you the opportunity to clearly see the compass needle when targeting a terrain point. This allows you to make more accurate bearings than with a standard ruler compass. This type of compass is best used outdoors if you want to determine directions over long distances. This is because you keep the view on the compass when you look over the terrain. ## Features - Determine direction over long distances: The Silva Ranger S Black compass is a versatile navigation compass that allows you to determine the direction over long distances, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers and mountaineers. A mirror compass is best in open terrain. - Rotating compass casing: the compass also has a rotating compass housing with rubber ring for easy handling and a declination scale inside the capsule. - RUBBERED BLADE: The Ranger S Black mirror compass features a mirror that allows you to see the compass dial and background simultaneously, making it easier to accurately determine bearings. - MEASUREMENT IN MM WITH 1:25,000 & 1:50,000 SCALES: The Ranger S Black also offers a 45-degree angle aid in the mirror viewing function. When held at a 45 degree angle, the compass mirror displays a cross aligned with the compass housing visible in the mirror. - LIGHT MARKINGS FOR NIGHT AVIGATION: The light markers on the Ranger S Black compass allow you to navigate at night and allow you to navigate even in low light conditions. This compass model is equipped with a removable neck strap. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0DH57MH81 | | Additional Features | Foldable, Glow In The Dark, Lightweight, Mirror, Rotating Bezel | | Best Sellers Rank | #207,940 in Sporting Goods ( See Top 100 in Sporting Goods ) #475 in Compasses | | Brand Name | Silva | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (110) | | Included Components | Safety cord | | Item Type Name | Ranger S Black | | Item Weight | 0.09 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Silva | | Manufacturer Part Number | 37516 | | Map Scale | 1:25.000 und 1:50.000 | | Material Type | Acrylic | | Model Number | 37516 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Silva - **Item weight:** 0.09 Kilograms - **Map scale:** 1:25.000 und 1:50.000 - **Material:** Acrylic - **Special features:** Foldable, Glow In The Dark, Lightweight, Mirror, Rotating Bezel ## Images ![Silva Outdoor Compass Ranger S Black Mirror Compass for Long Distances Marching Compass Rotating Compass Housing Scale 1:25k & 1:50k Compass Military Hiking Compass Visual Compass - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/7142gxvDwhL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Silva Compass Navigation - Ranger S Black - Scales 1:25k and 1:50k - Sighting Compass to Determine Direction Over Long Distances - Mirror Compass with Rotatable Compass Housing - Compass Hiking - Navigation Skills for Walkers: Map Reading, Compass and GPS | Pathfinder Walking Guide | Ordnance Survey | Walking | Navigation | Map-reading | Adventure: 75 (Pathfinder Guides) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/673122992-silva-outdoor-compass-ranger-s-black-mirror-compass-for-long](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/673122992-silva-outdoor-compass-ranger-s-black-mirror-compass-for-long) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
