HOSHANHO Cleaver Knife 7 Inch, Ultra Sharp Vegetable Meat Chopper Knife

After using this cleaver for a while, it stands out as a very solid kitchen knife for the price. It arrived well packaged, feels balanced in the hand, and the overall finish gives the impression of a much more expensive knife. For everyday kitchen work such as vegetables, meat preparation, and general chopping, it performs very well. Packaging and First Impressions The knife arrives in a well-designed box that protects the blade and makes the presentation feel more premium than expected at this price point. The overall aesthetic is clean and professional. The handle design and blade finish give it the appearance of a higher-end kitchen tool rather than a budget option. Materials and Construction This knife is made from high carbon stainless steel, which is commonly used in kitchen knives because it combines sharp edge retention with corrosion resistance. High carbon steel allows the blade to hold a sharper edge for longer compared to standard stainless steel. The blade is thin and precisely ground, which helps it move through food easily. The steel hardness typically falls around 56–58 HRC, which is a common range for kitchen knives designed to balance sharpness, durability, and ease of sharpening. The handle is ergonomically shaped and feels comfortable and secure in the hand. The weight distribution between the blade and handle feels balanced, which makes controlled chopping easier and reduces fatigue during longer food preparation sessions. Performance The most noticeable feature of this knife is how sharp it is out of the box. The blade arrives razor sharp, making it very effective for slicing vegetables, trimming meat, and general kitchen preparation. The wide cleaver-style blade also makes it easy to transfer chopped ingredients from the cutting board to a pan or bowl. After extended use, the blade has continued to hold its edge well. Even after regular kitchen use, it has not required sharpening yet, which speaks to the quality of the steel and edge geometry. Pros • Extremely sharp out of the box • Well balanced and comfortable to use • High carbon stainless steel construction • Attractive design that looks more expensive than its price • Holds its edge well with regular use • Good packaging and presentation Consider Before Buying • The blade is extremely sharp, so caution is recommended when handling or cleaning the knife • As with most sharp kitchen knives, proper storage and careful handling are important Overall This knife performs well above what its price might suggest. It feels balanced, looks good, and arrives exceptionally sharp. The materials and construction are solid, and the blade has held its edge well with regular use. Should You Buy It? If you are looking for a versatile kitchen cleaver that is sharp, balanced, and reasonably priced, this is a strong option. Based on my experience so far, it delivers excellent performance for everyday kitchen use and represents very good value for the price

Incredible Balance and Razor-Sharp Precision! I bought this HOSHANHO 7-inch Cleaver to handle heavier prep work, and it has quickly become the most reached-for knife in my block. It strikes the perfect balance between a heavy-duty meat cleaver and a nimble vegetable knife. Why I’m impressed: Out-of-the-Box Sharpness: The Japanese high carbon steel is no joke. It arrived hair-splitting sharp and breezes through everything from thick root vegetables to heavy proteins without any "wedging." Perfect Ergonomics: Even though it’s a 7-inch blade, the weight distribution is spot on. The handle fits comfortably in the hand, giving you great control for "push-cutting" or fine slicing despite its size. High Carbon Performance: You can tell this steel is high quality. It holds an edge significantly longer than standard stainless steel knives. Stunning Aesthetics: The blade finish and the handle design make it look like a custom piece. It looks particularly striking sitting on a dark wood cutting board. Note to Buyers: Just a reminder that because this is High Carbon Steel, you can't leave it wet in the sink! Hand wash and dry it immediately to keep that beautiful finish pristine and rust-free. The Bottom Line: If you want a "workhorse" knife that feels like a precision instrument, this is it. It’s an absolute steal for the quality of steel you’re getting.

Wonderful cleaver knife! Big, but not too big. Solid, but not overly heavy. Handle is comfortable and the blade if super sharp. Quickly becoming thego-to knife in the block!

Nice looking knife and is quite sharp. not very big, but good size to for cutting vegetables and meat. It's make in China, not Japan

Love this clever. It’s months since I bought it and put it in daily chopping and shaving and slicing. It stays as sharp as the first day. The knife is weighed properly super comfortable for daily use. Highly recommend jt

It's quite good and meets my expectations. However, it wasn't sharp enough when it first arrived, so I'll still need to sharpen it myself.

Great nice you can slice tomatoes so thin and smooth. It's amazing the way it slices soft food and I use it on things like sweet potatoes, well chopping just about anything is a breeze. Just be very careful with it ! Just washing it I cut into two sponges already. It's so sharp it's not for the kids. You have to be alert all the time using this thing.

Great cleaver for the price! Sharp and sturdy.

Rhoooolala, quel bonheur.

Although most of my knives are Global, I preferred the look of this Hoshanho Butcher. It works great, as expected, and handles exceptionally.

Revolutionised food prep at home, lovely weight and very sharp, worth every penny!

Lovely peace of steel this thing cuts well and isn't too heavy considering its size so you shouldn't get tired while using it, solid deal for the price.
