nice trowel. well made, good value. light but solid

OK - I went out on a limb here and bought this. There are plenty of low ratings and pictures of the trowel broken in several different ways. I took a chance on this, mostly because it's made by Fiskers. I have a few of their tools and they have served me well. That said, companies can change. The other reasons are: 1. Any tool can be broken if it is misused. That is not the fault of the tool. Some of the pictures in the low ratings reviews looked like it was run over by a car or a tractor. 2. Some people do not understand the tool. One reviewer rated it low because the orange "handle wrapper" came off. I don't think that's part of the handle - I think it's a label. In my pic's you'll see how the trowel looks out of the box and how it looks after I removed the label. So, 5 Stars for now because I haven't even used it yet. I'll be using it over the next few weeks and if it breaks under normal use, I'll be right back in here and change my rating!

I LOVE this brand. If it says FISKARS I know it’s quality and with the price. I bought this little shovel to clean out my rabbit hutches and it’s done fabulous.

First things first, the Amazon product description states that this has a cast aluminum head. It does not. Looking at the reviews, there are people complaining it does not have an aluminum head starting around 2023. Maybe the Amazon product page was originally for a trowel with an aluminum head but was changed. I clicked on "Report an issue with this product or seller," so hopefully Amazon will fix it soon. For me, this is my second Fiskars composite hand trowel, and knowing how it looks, I didn't have to read the Amazon product description. This plastic hand trowel is perfect for what I use it for: digging up dirt, and waving it over a metal detector. There are hand trowels/shovels/scoops made of plastic that work well with metal detecting, but many of them have a blunt or rounded tip, which makes them impossible to actually dig with. This is why I like the sharp point of this plastic hand trowel. Also, this hand trowel is 44% off at $3.50! Normally, it's $6.27, and even its full price is cheaper than fancy scoops made specifically for metal detecting.

Good price for a decent product. Could be sturdier but still worth it.

Trowel is made of one piece of strong sturdy plastic. Have used a whole season, lots of digging and it has held up. Edges are still sharp and cutting through the soil.

Just as I wanted. Light and hard plastic. Do the job on light gardening and saves you from corrosion

Use these for metal detecting as they are plastic, they are as strong as any metal ones i have ever used TOP PRODUCT!

A lightweight, manageable trowel that works well for breaking up hardened dirt clods and excavating difficult soil. I am unsure if it is original, but I feel that the quality is not what I would have expected from a Fiskars product. I can honestly say that it is worth the price (less than 5 AUD).
