Utopia Towels Kitchen Towels, Pack of 12, 15 x 25 Inches, 100% Ring Spun Cotton Super Soft and Absorbent Black Dish Towels, Tea Towels and Bar Towels

Received set of 12 kitchen dish towels with loops. We washed per instructions contained with towels. 5 of 12 towels had raveled edges after washing/drying on delicate w/no bleach. That's approximately 40 percent of the order. We were going to use these in our new motor home as there is limited space in the kitchen area and they contain loops so that they can be hung up. Very unhappy with the 5 defective ones...the other 7 are ok so long as they don't unravel after additional washing.After visiting with sellers of towels, (SMARTZ), they have offered to make everything right by sending new towels and a refund...this was a very quick and gracious reply by Stephanie in customer relations. The towels, as previously mentioned, we're just the ticket for our motor home because of the sewn in "Loups".

They are good towels, the right size and material I like that they say the cotton was washed before the towels were made. Unfortunately they were not washed in hot water to ensure all shrinking was done, because they still shrink and must be delicately washed. It’s a real shame that quality products are a thing of the past and there’s no more hot water washing with bleach to ensure a deep clean. With that being said these towels are the closest I’ve found to the wonderful dish towels of my youth where everything was made to last no matter how hard you were on it. I’m giving these towels 3 stars as they are the best in today’s standards but still not as rugged as these towels were originally meant to be. I would never give these as a gift so don’t understand the giftable rating. These towels were originally made as the towels no body saw but everybody had in their kitchen to use for the real cleaning baking and cooking. It’s interesting that now they are in fashion and people actually display as their decorations Never thought as a kid that quality would become a foreign concept to both style and function. Disposable, grunge or uncared for is the in look it’s very strange.

After looking all over for old fashioned flour sack towels, those with the flour or sugar company's "label" on them, I decided to get a grip, give it up, and find some others to replace old worn-out kitchen towels.I researched many prices and reviews, and found these Vintage-like towels to be pretty much the best buy if I was willing to buy twelve. As my daughter needed some also, I went for it, and I'm glad I did. They arrived quickly and packaging was as described in other posts.I machine washed in cold water and dried on warm. They came out of dryer looking great, hardly a wrinkle to be seen and though I didn't measure, there was no appreciable shrinkage. I did not use fabric softener, but towels arrived before I found the .pdf file sent by company, detailing best care routine; therefore, I didn't use any additives in the washer, just unscented liquid All. Today I used a towel to dry a beautiful wineglass and towel was very absorbent, and I only noticed one bit of lint on the glass...it sparkled!I bought the towels with yellow stripe, and I would place the color on spectrum a little "toward" orange rather than toward pastel yellow...but, perceptions of color are very subjective, and I do like it; to be clear, it is not orange.I would buy these again, but doubt will need to for years! I wish this customer-centric company would find some real flour sacks and offer towels made from them as alternatives.

I have washed and dried the set of towels a few times and as instructed by Smartz - wash warm with no bleach, tumble dry low with no fabric softener - and all of the towels folded smooth and flat with no shriveled edges. They shrink imperceptibly and thicken up after the first wash. There were a few loose threads on a few towels but once trimmed they did not return on the later washings. They are very absorbent and I expect they will improve with further washings. I noticed that one of the photos indicates a hanging loop at the corner. Both sets that I have purchased have a much more convenient loop at the MIDDLE of one long side and the loop is sized to easily slip over an cabinet knob. Much better than a corner location. I also needed to contact customer service with a question and they were very prompt and helpful. I will probably move these towels to 5 stars after I have had time to run them through the kitchen routine for a month or two. Very nice towels, great price for 12 towels, and excellent customer service - very pleased so far.

Very nice dish towels especially once they are washed according to the directions provided. Received towels in a timely manner and nicely packaged. Great customer service.....this company actually follows up to make sure you are satisfied. The dish towels were used as a yellow-themed bridal shower favor given to attendees. I bundled each towel and tied with string and inserted a wooden spoon. The recipients loved them. Can really get creative with this idea by inserting a whisk or other kitchen tool or even wrapping towel around a nice bottle of dish soap to make for a useful gift.

I've attached 8 photographs to show the unboxing and my impressions. The fact that these towels are more costly than most here on Amazon, along with the high rating, gave me confidence that these were quality towels. My pictures show that they leave much to be desired in the quality department. From shoddy weaving to durability after washing, these towels leave much to be desired. After throwing away the towel embellished with hair, I washed and dried exactly as directed. It was a load containing just these towels and the pilling was horrible.My "Glamburg" kitchen towels are not as heavy, but they are far superior in durability and the cost was HALF the price of these. I ended up using these as cleaning towels for the garage, so this was in no way a "SMARTZ" purchase for me. I never expected to end up with PTSD; Post Traumatic Stress by Dishtowel. (I'm still grossed out every time I think about the hair.)

Worth the price. Nice, thick, absorbent. I'm hard on my dishtowels and I also prefer to bleach them, and these have stood up well. So if you're not a dishtowel destroyer like me, they'll probably last forever.

Love the tea towels, was fed up with towels that look pretty that don't absorb and get stained easily. I thought that since I had a dishwasher tea towels weren't so important anymore but they really are.These are absorbent, easy to wash and do not stain. Also, a great bonus they come already with a loop for hanging. I have had to buy loops to pop on tea towels previously.They were sent out quickly and do the job properly - thoroughly recommend.
