Brilliant.
Easy to use. Good coverage but, most of all, it works! Had given up on shower room ceiling as paint just kept bubbling & peeling off. After using Peel Stop, ceiling paint is as good as new for over a year now. Definitely recommend.

A godsend after a DIY disaster
When we were mistakenly sold and then applied an eggshell paint to the walls of our kitchen we thought that we would have to scrape it all off and start again (one thumbnail peeled a groove off). However, having looked on Google this product stood out. As usual we used Amazon Prime to order the product as the cost was reasonable and the delivery fast. Upon opening the tin you can see the product is quite thin, the consistency of single cream. It is an opaque white colour and when you apply it to the wall that helps you see where you have previously brushed. It goes on easily. I used both a brush for small corners and a roller for large areas. It dries within 6 hours but I left it overnight. I have to admit to applying two layers to areas of the wall that were in busy traffic areas, but this is not necessarily in all cases. After that I applied the newly purchased tin of kitchen emulsion. It went in smoothly and the finish is Matt and durable. So I would recommend this product to anyone who has had a paint DIY experience and who needs a quick and not too expensive solution

Excellent Primer for Peeling Surfaces
I’m very impressed with the Zinsser Peel Stop Clear Binding Primer. It worked extremely well on areas with peeling and flaking paint, helping stabilize the surface before repainting. The primer applies smoothly, dries clear, and creates a solid base for topcoats.I also appreciated how easy it was to use, with excellent coverage and quick drying time. It helped save a lot of preparation work by binding loose edges effectively and improving paint adhesion on damaged surfaces. The quality feels professional-grade, and the results were noticeably better compared to standard primers I’ve used before. Overall, this is an excellent product for repairing and preparing problem surfaces, and I would definitely recommend it for decorating and renovation projects.

It’s all in the preparation. Read the instructions carefully
This product is brilliant as long as it’s used correctly. I’ve used Zinsser products before but not this particular one. I had some stone window sills ( previously painted with masonry paint) to re-paint and they were pretty flaky and chipped. Having spent a day with a scraper removing all the loose paint I decided I needed to prime the surface before applying more masonry paint. I checked out Zinsser because their products are usually excellent and came across this. So having read all the instructions you do need to prepare the surfaces well before using. I’d already removed the flaky paint so I needed to sand with a rough sandpaper and wash them off with my chosen cleaner to remove all grease and dirt and any mould and moss needed treatment too. Please note this product does not work on surfaces that are damper than 14 %. You can check with a damp meter. So wherever you are using it you must deal with any damp issues first. If you don’t your top paint surface will bubble. On opening the tin the peel stop is the consistency of milk. It needs to be this thin so it creeps under any raised edges to stick them down and stop them peeling. It applies really well with a brush and has great adhesion as long as you’ve done the preparation. The coverage is fantastic…it goes a long way. It dries in two to four hours depending on the weather. I found it was dry in two as it was warm and sunny. You can get away with one coat but if your surfaces are bad you can apply two. You are left with a slightly shiny surface. I left the window sills overnight and then applied two coats of masonry paint. The results were excellent. I had no bubbling, no peeling and despite the sills being over 120 years old they look great. I’m definitely going to try this on my bathroom ceiling as that does have a tendency to peel. So in conclusion this is a great product that does what it says it will as long as you follow the instructions and don’t apply on surfaces that require damp treatment.
