GREAT SOUND UPGRADE
Purchased a 46 Samsung LED TV and loved the picture quality (They also make the screens for Sony) but like all the new flat screen TV's the sound quality leaves something to be desired. I purchased the Kef sound bar because I wanted better sound and I have Kef speakers in my home for my music sound system and love them. It would be greatly improved with a subwoofer. I plan on getting Bose miniature surround speakers to complete the system. It also is sold with a subwoofer. This should give an excellent surround system without all the bulky large speakers. PS: It does require an amplifier to run this system.

Good for saving space but i would have expected better sound from KEF.
Nice looking space saving but middle of the row performance. Sound stage between L/C/R not that apparent with no real depth, construction is very cheap. Looks more like KEF just designed a sound bar just to have one like everyone else and didn't really put their A team on it.

It's good for saving space, not the best surround sound though
I have converted one of my spare bedrooms into a home theater room, and I wanted to hook up 5.1 surround sound without taking up a great deal of space. So I watched KEF's video on this product on Youtube and I decided to give it a try despite the pretty substantial cost. This is a very nice looking soundbar, it is well-built and certainly doesn't feel or look cheap. It sits very stable on the shelf below my TV just below ear level. The Center channel sounds good, but not especially high-end performance, and the left and right are good, but the surround sound feel is nothing spectacular. Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty good, I had 5.1 surround going with a Pinnacle 350 Watt subwoofer and I tested intense movie scenes. You will be happy with this soundbar if "saving space" is your goal, it will give you quality sound, and it looks very sharp. But having 2 quality front speakers and a good center speaker that are spaced apart properly will always be better if you have the room to spare because the speakers work better when they are properly spaced. Again the product is good, but I'll be honest it's in my closet right now because I wanted better performance, I have hooked up a center, front, and left channel speaker and replayed the exact same movie parts (that I tested with the KEF 8003), and the sound is more engaging, and the surround sound is more impressive. This turned out to be an expensive "experiment" for me, but I will probably use this soundbar on my next TV which won't be my main viewing room.

Pair with KEF "Q" driver series in wall & ceiling
Try paring with matching KEF "Q" series, 2 in wall and 4 in ceiling in addition to the 8003 sound bar. That pared to 2 SVS Micro 3000Subwoofers. Driving with Denon AVR 4700. Dolby Atmos & Dolby Vision on LG 65" OLED. Very happy!!
