very good quality
Was a bit hesitant because it was very cheap, but so far after 10 months of use I am very satisfied of the quality, no leaks so far and the material has been tough enough for daily use.

Stays warm for longer than thinner bottled
This water bottle is thick and provides great insulation for hot water. I poured hot water in it and it was still hot 30 minutes later. Some of the thinner silicone bottles are barely warm for 10 minutes. I recommend this bottle!

Great product for the price.
I was very concerned about purchasing a water bottle sight-unseen, but I read a bunch of the reviews and decided to take the plunge. I am very happy I did. I have been wanting a hot water bottle for quite a long time, but I just haven't taken the time to research good ones and actually purchase one. I use my bottle to cuddle with at night when I'm trying to sleep. I have awful insomnia, and it's very difficult for me to get to sleep some nights. One of my classmates recommended I try this method before I try pharmacological sleep aids. I am so happy I did! This bottle is a great size, it holds up well, and IT DOESN'T LEAK! I am very happy about that last bit. There are metal threads on the female part of the bottle and there is a rubber gasket around the male end that secures the water inside. The photo doesn't show that there is a little lip coming off the bottom end of the bottom (which the stock photo shows that it's smooth at the bottom and only has a protruding lip at the top) I am ok with this little lip at the bottom, because it will allow me to hang the bottle upside down to allow it to air dry and drain out better and avoid mold/slime growth. The reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 rating is because of the horribly STRONG latex/chemical smell that the bottle gives off. I'm not sure how they could have avoided this in the production of the bottle, but it is quite overwhelming at times. That's why I had to purchase a knit cover to got over it to try and hide some of the smell. Hopefully, this odor will go away after a while. Otherwise, I love this purchase, and I am very happy I took a chance on it.

Excellent product
I had previously bought a water bottle that leaked because the screw at the top was made of flimsy material and when I put it behind my back and lean back, it dripped out and water got all over the chair. This hot water bottle is made of a rubber and it is excellent. It has a hole at the top for hanging, but I wish it also had a punch hole at the bottom so that you could hang it upside down and drain it. In any case it’s durable and a good quality. I would recommend

They still make 'em like they used to. *relieved sigh*
50 years ago, hot water bottles were made with rubber, thus making them soft and flexible. They had metal sleeves/flanges in the filler opening, thus making them durable. They had rubber washers on the stopper to seal against the metal sleeve in the filler opening, thus making them water-tight and leak-proof. Last year, I tried to find such a water bottle in a store - any store - and failed. I ended up with a "latex-free" plasticky thing that was ALL plastic, no rubber, no metal, and no washer to seal. It was "okay" for a while, until the all-plastic fill spout cracked (like cheap plastic often does) and water leaked past the washerless stopper. That was enough! No more chain-store water bottles for me. So I broadened my search to anything I could find on Amazon dot com. I was fortunate to stumble across this bottle! It is everything I'd hoped for, and more! I had three "musts" and got three more "plusses" in the deal. Point by point expectations met: (1) This water bottle actually feels like soft, flexible rubber. It's friendly, not plasticky. Sure, there's a bit of rubber smell to it, but I'm not using it as a face mask - and I expect it will fade with time. (2) It actually has a metal sleeve in the filler - just like my 50-year-old water bottle, so I don't expect it will ever crack like one made just of plastic. (3) It has a real rubber washer on the stopper to seal against the metal fill-spout flange/sleeve. And it does seal, exactly as they did 50 years ago. The unexpected blessings: (1) This bottle wasn't exactly as pictured. It was better. Each of the two flat sides is completely covered with a soft ribbing pattern. Not only does it feel softer that way, but I realized (as I never had before) that the ribbing creates a little air-gap between the hot rubber surface and my skin - so that the heat from the water is less likely to overpower my skin - and I'm less likely to stick to the surface as well. (2) It was priced below the inferior bottle I'd gotten locally. Yes, I expected that when I placed the order because I could see the price - but I hadn't expected to find a better bottle at a lower price when I first started my search! (3) It came very quickly - on the short side of the delivery promise, not the long - and that was with free shipping! I was tempted to order about a thousand of these and open a hot-water bottle outlet store here in town. Nobody would buy anywhere else! But then it occurred to me that there may not be a universal demand for hot water bottles. So, I'll just stay happy with my new little red-rubber friend, and share the good news with anyone else who remembers "the good ole days" when you were confident that what you bought at the local general store was going to be just what you needed.

Defective purchase
I finally had to use it after purchasing 2 months ago, and there were holes in it. It also had moisture inside, prior to me finding out the hard way that there were holes in it. I wish I could give it 0 stars

I ordered two of these and returned both.
I was disappointed in these hot water bottles. Every other such bottle I’ve had has had a hot side and a warm side; that is, one side was pretty smooth and that was hotter against the skin, and one side was textured, which made it less hot. That meant that you could start with the less hot side, and then, as it cooled, you could switch to the hot side, which would still be hot. These bottles each had two sides that were the same. Furthermore the texture was so pronounced that neither side got very hot — except around the smooth edges — unless you used VERY hot water. I use a hot water bottle to put on the backs of my feet as I lie on my stomach in bed. (I ordered two so that I would have a spare to take with me on trips.) Not for pain, in other words, but to warm up my tootsies so that I can go to sleep. That usually involves a bit of manipulation of the bottle by my feet and toes. The texture of these bottles was so pronounced, however, that it snagged on the sheets, which made it much harder to move around into position. All these problems (first-world problems, I know) led to my returning both the bottles I had bought.
