"You're joking! Not another one?"
I've followed Mr Martin's career off and on, and on again, for some years. I even own a copy of his opus magnum Epic Space, bought in the Carnforth Bookshop.Mr Martin understands the assignment. This book follows in the tradition of parody in British humour. Parody has its roots in the Classics (so my good friend Mr Wikipedia tells me) so this is an ideal gift for your favourite classicist.Props to Eileen Martin too. As a "trailing spouse" to an author and writer, I know what it takes to put up with lows and highs of the endless drafts, redrafts, anxious calls with editors and the inevitable "Darling, do you showing me again how to undelete this file?"

Boris gets The Thick of It treatment
This is such a brilliant book to give as presents to everyone you know who has been left breathless with rage by the ultimate posh boy grifter. It’s funny and eviscerating and flays away the pseudo intellectual hide to expose the snivelling jelly underneath. Ian Martin puts the Johnson timeline through a truth translator. It’s the live fact checker we could have done with at the time.

factual ?
Read this tome, laugh and then realize that Johnson has been having the laugh has on all of us.Sadly, we are going to be paying for this scamp’s indecisions for many decades.

Load of Bollocks
This book is just puerile non humour. Not remotely funny or parody. Just poorly written turgid and terribly terribly dull

Funny for a while - Boris the complete clown / pied piper of Hamlyn
Ok, it's good parody for a while, with exaggerated delusional self aggrandised replies / explanations/ refutations - full of swearing and ridiculous denials and attacks - all of which is merely a marginal extension of Johnson's own words and actions! But then it becomes quite 'samey'.But still worth reading.

Actually has March 2020 all wrong
I appreciate what the book is trying to do, but it says under Boris’ “Discredited Narrative” the UK locked down later than most other countries contributing to a high death rate. This is merely opinion, generally of people who dislike Boris and as such whose objectivity is clouded, and assumes lockdowns were an accepted form of pandemic response.Which they weren’t.

Closer to the truth
This book is closer to the truth than Boris Johnson’s effort , I recommend whole heartedly,
