Do not go by description. These bags are clearly not 5 mil, there is no ziploc,and they do not stand up. If you want just a basic, inexpensive set of mylar bags,then these are for you. I'm unsure if they'll protect for very long term, esp. as they are thin, but I added extra protection by storing them in food grade buckets. Will not be recommending this product.

These are a good storage size for use when storing food for couples or small families and you want to store meal-size portions. I have used heavier weight bags but find it difficult to seal them without creating wrinkles/leaks because they are so stiff. I easily get a good seal with this weight mylar bags. GREAT for taking lightweight meals for camping and RV use.

Terrible product, not one of the 02 absorbers worked. Bad batch, been doing this for over 10 years, not a happy Customer at all. BAD PRODUCT. would like my 300 cc absorbers replaced.

Picture shows a Brownish mylar bag like the military uses. These bags are bright silver and very thin. I know the strength of the military bags. One side of my Generic FoodSaver bags are thicker than both sides of these bags. Too much $ to be mislead.

While putting food in these bags I realized I could see through them. They are nowhere near as strong as my other 5ml bags. Will not purchase again.

The zipper came away from the Mylar when opening the bag to fill. About 2-3 out of a dozen did this.

They are just the right size for a lot of dried food and with the ziplock closure can be used again and again. If you want you can seal them
