FIT PERFECTLY - EXACTLY AS DESCIBED
I have an older Craftsman riding lawnmower and this slipped right in to place. It's working great and couldn't be happier.

Works, but seems a little tight
I'm tired of going through deck belts on my older Craftsman riding mower, and having to pay $20 each at the tractor supply store, So I bought this one from Amazon. It's a quality belt, just like you'd get at the store. I installed it, and it works like a champ. My only concern is that it was super tight to get on, and runs the blades constantly. There is no putting the blades on OFF mode - there is kinda on, and REALLY on. I'm not that worried, as it is much more important that they blades spin as opposed to not spinning, but I wonder if I was sent an 87 inch belt instead of an 88. The package says 88, but I wonder about the belt. Either way, it's working and my grass is getting cut.I think before I purchase another from Amazon, I will remove this belt and properly measure it see what length it is. I've bought n 89 from the store before, and it was too big. Until then, I will enjoy both modes - "kinda cutting", and "I will destroy you" mode.

Nice sturdy belt
I get it for my riding mower. Lasts about 2yrs. Probably would be longer if I wasn’t so hard on my mower

Almost perfect
I was originally going to give this belt 5 stars - it went on easy and appeared to fit perfect, and was certainly cheaper (and more readily available) than the craftsman brand part. However, I am lowering this to 4 stars. I do not know what changed, or if this is related to the quility (tackiness) of the belt, but after the first day of mowing (engaging the blades) on my craftsman rider, I can no longer disengage the mower blades. Even with the handle in the "off" position, as soon as I start the motor the blades engage.I have not fully diagnosed the problem, but the only thing I changed that could have this effect is the belt. YMMV.UPDATE: The belt has stretched slightly, alleviating the above problem as long as the mower platform is raised all the way up. In the top position, everything works now as expected. With the blades disengaged, as I lower the platform they begin to engage themselves, but this doesn't really bother me as the only reason I would lower the platform is if I was actually cutting grass. I typically raise the platform and disengage the blades when transitioning different parts of my yard (crossing the driveway, moving out into the road, etc.). So perhaps the problem I experienced early on has mostly worked its way out over time as the belt begins to stretch, and it didn't take long.

It fits.
This belt fit perfectly and my mowing deck worked fine. Being near the very end of the mowing season, I put less than an hour on this product, so only time will tell what quality and reliability it turns out to be.

Gave my riding mower new life
The last belt I ordered for my aging mower was from the manufacturer's site...and it never fit right even with the idler pulley adjusted all the way out. The belt was sloppy and so loose the blades would get bogged down in heavy grass.Early this year, that belt fell apart, and I figured all the problems I'd been having were just due to the mower being quite old, but I didn't want to replace it mid-season...so I bought this belt because it was less than half the price the manufacturer's site wanted.Am I ever glad I got this belt!I can only conclude that $ear$ doesn't know what they're doing, because the belt I got from them a couple years ago must have been the wrong size out of the factory (and yes, I had checked the numbers on it when I first installed it and saw how loose it was).I had to adjust the idler pulley in about halfway to get the belt to install correctly and not be too tight. Now when I throw the mower in gear, I never have to worry about the blades getting slowed by tall grass...it cuts like when it was new.If you've ever bought a belt from the $ear$ parts direct site and it didn't seem to fit right or work just right...you're not alone. THIS IS the right belt for the mower drive.

It fixed my mower...
I used the belt I bought to replace an OEM AYP / Craftsman belt I bought last year. That belt had stretched out and the blades on the mower deck of my 1996 Craftsman lawn tractor were stalling in taller grass. This belt fit. I encountered no disengagement problems and now the blades are not stalling / stopping in tall grass. This was a perfect repair for my issue.

Not as described
My only complaint is that the belt is 88 3/8 in instead of just 88 like it's supposed to be

Premium Belt for Poulan Pro 42" Deck
The Belt was too Small for the Stock Spindle, thus I could not use it...The replacement Belt #144200 is too thin to work properly, may have to compare to a Stock Belt before Purchasing, Strongly consider going with a 3/4" Belt for the Weed Eater Poulan Pro Mower Tractor.
