Used for 3 weeks hair was growing out thick. This is true to the description

Looks: this batana oil has a gritty look to it. I like that because it makes me feel like it’s real batana oil that has not been refined. You can see little pieces of the batana nut in the oil, which makes me feel like it's more natural.Smell: the oil has an earthy smell to it. It was not overwhelming and I thought it was pleasant to smell, almost like mashed nuts.Texture: you can feel the batana grit in the oil which makes it feel natural. When you rub the oil between your fingers, it heats up and starts to melt and get runny. I did not experience any gritty pieces getting stuck in my hair so that was nice! I did have to do a lot of rubbing to get it to the point where it would spread through my type 4C hair without being clumpy.Workings: once I got the oil heated up by rubbing it in my hands, it was easy to apply and control. I did not put any on my scalp and just focused on my hair because of my scalp condition. I covered my hair with a disposable shower cap and let it sit for an hour. Washing it out took a little work because I thought I had it all rinsed out and then when I went to wring my hair out, I saw it squeezing between my fingers.Concerns: My biggest concern is washing the oil down my drain because it hardens at colder temperatures and I'm afraid of it clogging my drain when the hot water is not running on it.

Good for your hair

I didn’t like it for my hair. My hair is very thick and I felt like I was washing it out for days. It did not make my hair shiny and I just felt greasy for a few days until it finally all washed out.It did smell good, but I was definitely using some dry shampoo for a few days.

Love this product

I am changing my review as I found I reviewed the wrong brand that I was not happy with. This brand, Bablabear Batana Oil is wonderful! It did amazing on my hair. For my first use I put a small amount in the palm of hand and followed the instructions only I left it on for about 2 hours wile I got some things done around the house. I loved the coffee sent and that this 100% batana oil with nothing else added. Then I rinsed my hair before washing as normal. I did make the mistake of washing with shampoo twice as the first time I felt my hair was a bit to "slick" feeling. This is something I am not used to as I have very dry curly hair that is an awful rats nest. I have been dealing with this hair of mine for a long time as I am 60 years old. No problem though as after my hair air dried I added a little more of the Bablabear Batana Oil to the palm of hand and ran it through my hair. That took out more of the remaining frizz and for the first time in ages I had some shine to my hair! I have been adding a bit to my hair and scalp every morning between washings. Of course before just before washing I give a heavier amount to my hair and scalp then rinse and wash as usual. Nice soft hair without much frizz for the first time that I can remember! Not sure about hair growth yet but I am more than happy just to have less frizz and soft hair. I will definitely be buying this again.*Edit- Wanted to add I found another use for this. I came down with an awful cold that left me with raw red skin under my nose from blowing it so much. I tried all kinds of lotions and creams that burned badly and even made it worse. I was putting this batana oil on my hair and had to blow my nose getting some of the batana oil under my nose. It didn't burn and felt great! I dabbed on bit more under my nose and patted it in. Finally my nose felt better. I ended up using this many time during the day and before bed. Even during the night if I was up. Within 24 hours there was a huge improvement in the rawness and soreness. I'm still recovering and blowing my nose way to much but no more red raw nose for me!

Hopeful but sadly this product did not work for me. My hair is pretty thin even though I really minimized the amount for that reason, it was still too greasy and made it more difficult to wash out. If you have thicker hair this may work for you, but I would avoid if you have thin, fine hair.
