Only power adapter converter needed.
Worked well with EU power outlets. Charged my USB-C smart phone using my US power adapter. Comes with other country conversion adapters.

Did not work while other brands did
We purchased two converters from two manufacturers for our trip to Africa. This one didn’t work at all and the other worked fine. Devices connected didn’t charge. In addition since it was more then 30 days past purchase when we arrived home to the states they won’t take it back

Does a fine job with my wife’s professional/salon-grade hair dryer
This is a review for “BESTEK 2000W Voltage Converter US to Europe 220V to 110V Converter with PD 35W USB-C for Hair Dryer/Curling Iron/Phone Travel Adapter for EU/UK/AU/US More Than 150 Countries” I wanted this device mainly because my wife has a professional grade hair dryer that “really blows”, and she preferred to take that with her on a Europe trip from the USA rather than use the cheesy hair dryers that exist in most hotel rooms. Ahead of the trip I pulled out an old (very old) 220-110 voltage converter that I had around from 30+ years ago. I tested it out on our 220 mains (wire this test up at your own risk, I am an electrical engineer by profession so not so scary for me) at home with her Volare BabyBliss Pro hair dryer and it performed very sub-standard – might as well just use the cheezy one in the room rather than bring it. So we left her nice hair dryer at home. After I returned from the trip I ordered this converter, advertised to handle a bit more than the 1875W for which her hair dryer is rated. I tested the hair dryer again with this converter attached to our 220V mains and the hair dryer blows just as ferociously as when plugged into “normal” 110VAC. So, no problem with this converter, it seems it will do the job. There is an additional concern with using the hair dryer on foreign power, which this converter (and most others as well) likely will not be able to address, if it comes up. I expect this device will convert the 220V down to 110V, but I doubt very much that it will convert the 50Hz EU voltage to 60Hz as is used in the USA. There is the possibility that the fan motor in the hair dryer will operate more slowly (perhaps only 5/6 as fast) when running on the 50Hz EU current. That aspect of the performance depends on what kind of electric motor is used in the hair dryer, as some types of AC motors will have a speed which is dependent on the frequency (i.e., 50 or 60 Hz) of the supplied electricity. I researched as much as I could and it seems ‘more likely than not’ that the motor in her hair dryer is not this type of motor, and that the frequency will not affect its speed. I hope that is true, in which case my wife will be a happy camper with her nice beefy hair dryer overseas, using this 2000W voltage converter.

Functional, but bulky.
Worked well for us, and we brought it with us for our travels. There was a slight humming noise (from the transformer?) and it’s a little bulky from its shape/size and the stiff power cord. You’ll also need to bring the adapters for whichever country you’re going to, so you may have to pack quite a bit of stuff. Overall, definitely functional if a little bulky.

Powers both high and low-wattage appliances
The BESTEK Dual 2000W/200W Voltage Converter is a versatile travel solution designed for U.S. travelers needing to power 110V appliances abroad. It converts 220V to 110V and includes two power modes: a 2000W direct mode for high-wattage devices like hair dryers and curling irons and a 200W conversion mode for low-power devices. This device is compatible in regions such as Europe (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), and Australia (AU). This does not have an on - off switch and the very thick cable is not disconnectable. Key Features: Dual Power Modes: 2000W Mode: For high-power devices like hair dryers. 200W Mode: For smaller appliances such as electric toothbrushes and shavers. USB-C PD Charging: Includes a 35W USB-C port for fast charging, along with additional USB-A ports for simultaneous charging of multiple devices. Travel Compatibility: Equipped with plug adapters for EU, UK, and AU outlets, making it suitable for a wide range of countries. Safety Features: Built-in protections against overheating, overloading, and short circuits to ensure safe operation. Note that this is not recommended for certain types of appliances due to limitations in its functionality and power compatibility. Here’s what you should avoid using with this converter: High-Powered Appliances Exceeding 2000W: Devices like large kitchen appliances (ovens, refrigerators) or industrial tools that require more than 2000W are incompatible with this converter. Heating Appliances with Precision Electronics: While it supports hair dryers and curling irons, it may not work well with high-end heating devices like heat guns or some coffee makers that rely on electronic thermostats. Appliances with Timers or Programmable Features: Devices with intricate timing mechanisms, such as certain rice cookers or washing machines, may not function accurately due to potential voltage conversion inconsistencies. Medical Equipment: Critical medical devices, like CPAP machines or oxygen concentrators, may not be recommended without confirming compatibility, as a failure in power delivery could pose risks. Devices Requiring Pure Sine Wave Output. This converter is ideal for individuals needing to power many high and low-wattage appliances while keeping USB-powered devices like smartphones and tablets charged. It offers reliability and convenience for international travel.

Not worth the money, buy where your traveling to
Used in London as directions explained, curling iron, rollers, they worked but when we got home, both were burnt out
