These are excellent for my basement; easy to install, super bright, perfect. Recommend highly, will be purchasing more sets.

When we bought our home, the garage had only one light bulb (two sockets just one was missing). It needed some TLC. So I wanted to get something cool-looking that put out some great light. Was looking through these and came upon these. I like the lumens and they looked really easy to install (simply unscrew the existing bulbs and screw these in like you do a regular bulb). When we put them up, they were so bright. They were perfect. One of my neighbors came over and was asking me about them. He really liked them. We bought him some for their garage too for Christmas. :) When we sold that house, the new buyer was talking about them and we left them there for them. And we bought new ones for our new house. We would highly recommend them. (They have that cool garage shop or workshop look as well. They pivot on the hinges as well so you can angle them for different looks.) Would recommend them. Was odd in the review that it had a category for motion detection. The ones we bought didn't have that and we were not buying them for that. So no reviews on that part.

So, I've been using 300w "regular" light bulbs in one of my pole sheds for years now. They worked but the light was yellow and weak, needless to say, power hungry too.A friend of mine told be about these lights and he bought two and sent me the before and after photo. I just had to have them.I needed 6 lights so I bought the 3, two packs. The swap out took more time to get a ladder than anything. Unscrew the old lights and screw in these.At first, I had them all facing down and that was impressive enough with the bright crisp light they threw out. But, I didn't feel that it covered as much area so out came a broom handle and I gently lifted the 3 "leafs" to about a 45 degree angle and that worked nicely. I lifted one leaf even higher to cover some pallet racking I have on one wall and that helped illuminate that area.These are well worth the money. They are bright and of course, more energy efficient.My friend of mine who turned me onto these lights, purchased several to give out as Christmas gifts. Maybe I should have waited to see if Santa was going to deliver some to me!Worth the money if you want a brighter and adjustable lighting system in place of light bulbs.

These are fantastic. I had purchased the original name brand version at Home Depot. I got 1 for the price of a 2 pack of this brand. So, the pricey one went back to Home Depot. I’m 62 & recently had to move to a condo due to the passing of my husband. I have a full size basement that I hate going into at night. Thanks to these lights, my basement is as bright as daylight. I feel so much better when I have to go get something after dark now. I had previously installed a similar light in my garage. So, I knew installation would be a icee of cake. I’m planning on buying some for my son-in-law to put in their basement & garage. These are as sturdy as the expensive one.

Easy install, easy to adjust, reasonable build quality, good light coverage, light color is good for a garage.Bottom line: good product, light brightness is OK, although it could be brighter (4-stars instead of 5-stars).

Now that I've been using these regularly for the past 3 years, I can say that they work perfectly and are very bright. They are obviously a bit clunky to screw in, but after that, these are the most useful lights I have ever had for garage or basement shop. Buy these.

I purchased these after seeing them in my neighbor's garage. They replaced the conventional florescent light fixtures. If you are comfortable doing basic electrical work, they are easy to install. It did take some imagination to install one of the two fixtures, since having two in the garage means the fixture closest to the on/off wall switch has more wires to work with. The light socket has holes for pushing the wire through (that you then simply secure by tightening a screw). But that hole is only large enough for one wire, not two. The fixture closest to the light switch (assuming you have two lights in the space) has the wire from the wall switch and then another wire going to the second light. But with some plastic screw caps that is easily resolved.The light is very bright and I now have sufficient lighting to actually work on things with the garage door closed. Excellent price too.

Great light for garage

2 old bulbs in my garage were 100 watt incandescent and did not provide very good lighting. After replacing with these two bulbs, it is like daylight in the garage and they only use about 75% of the power of the old bulbs. They arrive very quickly and were easy to install.

It is really bright and easy to install

We put them in our new garage however they haven’t been lasting… right now we are planning to buy another type if we can’t get a replacement.

Good value. Just screw into existing wall light socket. Nice bright lights that can be redirected as needed
