Maps, Charts and Graphs, Level F, Eastern Hemisphere

Really like this series for our after schooling program. While our child's public school covers a bit of this, they don't cover it to the degree people should really know in order to understand all of these different visual information graphics. While my child isn't ecstatic to do workbooks, she kinda likes this one once she gets started. Start about 1st grade with level A and just go from there as your child progresses through them without worrying about grade level corresponding to their level. Not sure how to pick the right one to start with if your child is older.

These little books are great to compliment geography programs or teaching geography through literature. I would not use for sole source of geography. They provide a great talking points. They cover enough information to fill any "gaps" that might exist in geography studies. This year, we are studying "Welcome to the Wide World of Geography: Physical World Geography." (Highly recommend. Well written, easy to use and interesting. A great pre-view for physical science.) However, the charts books are good to take along in the car, have self-check in the back, and are easy workbook work. They come in handy to introduce reading various maps and graphs.

This is a good, quick weekly geography lesson. We do other geography mapping and discussion from historical perspectives so this is nice for graphing and topographical stuff we don't cover in history.

Excellent to expose children to map reading/understanding. We homeschool, but I’d use even as supplementation if they were in the classroom.Pages are older publication, but I don’t think it takes from the content.

Have not found a better way in 25+ years for our family to make sure we are covering essential grade-appropriate geography skills in a way that doesn't break the bank or take up an impracticable amount of time. All of my children have enjoyed using these workbooks in their home-school studies. I have purchased this series for many years.
